Soval tells Shran that the Vulcan fleet is at the star Regulus. This could not be true because it was established in the episode "Home" that Vulcans do not venture far outside their own system. Regulus us over 63 light years away.
T'Pol's disease, contracted in season one's "Fusion", is finally cured by T'Pau.
The character T'Pau, played by Kara Zedicker, appeared in an episode of the original Star Trek series, "Amok Time" played by Celia Lovsky.
The sehlat was a creature first introduced by Spock in the Star Trek: TOS episode "Journey to Babel". While he did not call it by name in that episode, the name was later confirmed in the Star Trek: The Animated Series episode "Yesteryear".
Trivia: The questions Arev asks Archer are two of the same questions the computer asked Spock in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.
Trivia: Soval apparently has the ability to mind meld.
Trivia: Mount Selaya, the Katra, and the Vulcan ability to transfer their memories to others is mentioned here. All are important plot points to Star Trek III: The Search for Spock.
Arev: But his katra was spirited away... before the last battle against those who marched beneath the raptor's wings. Those who wanted to return to the savage ways.
According to text commentary on the official DVD, "Those who marched beneath the raptor's wings" refers to those Vulcans who left their home world to found the Romulan Star Empire.
Goof: T'Pol speaks of having a sehlat for a pet, yet in the second season episode "A Night in Sickbay" she is confused by Archer's attachment to Porthos. She seems to consider having a pet as demeaning to all involved.
Trivia: Although presumably Arev is a "true follower" of Surak and his teachings of logic and emotional restraint, he chuckles when Archer talks about the corrupted teachings of Surak.
Mission Date: May 27, 2154
Trivia: Finally conceding that perfecting humanity through genetic engineering is impossible, Soong decides to pursue cybernetics, and says that the work will likely take multiple generations. This is a tie-in to Soong's 24th Century descendant, Dr. Noonien Soong, who eventually created, among others, Data.
Trivia: When mentioned by Malik, Soong dismisses the Botany Bay - the ship carrying Khan Noonien Singh and his fellow augments - as a myth. In fact, the ship would later be discovered, and its passengers revived, by the Enterprise (NCC-1701) crew in The Original Series episode "Space Seed".
Nitpick: Although it is scientifically plausible for Archer to survive the vacuum of space momentarily, some of his capilaries should have burst.
First Appearance: Denobulan medical ship
Goof: Although Malik has a British accent, the younger version of him seen in the flashback sequence, does not.
Goof: When Enterprise is attacked by the Bird of Prey, Trip yells that they had been hit on the starboard nacelle. However, in the previous scene, it can been seen that Enterprise's port nacelle had been the one hit.
Goof: When Enterprise is pursued by the Orion ships for the second time, the Orion ships are maneuvering at warp, and both sides are firing energy weapons at one another.
As has been established in Star Trek lore, ship's cannot, whilst at warp, fire energy weapons or perform maneuvers.
Trivia: After the two augments have boarded the Klingon ship and reached the bridge, there is a shot of both of them, stood side by side, pointing their weapons at the camera.
This shot is reminiscent of the scene where the Klingon Chancellor is assassinated by two Starfleet crewmen, aboard Quo'nos One, in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.
Trivia: To reflect her new Starfleet commission and rank, T'Pol's uniform is altered in this episode. Blue science stripes are added to the shoulders, commander's pips are added to the chest, and the Enterprise mission patch is added to the arm.
