Nitpick: Although it was Soval that negotiated the original treaty, his presence here seems out of place, considering that he's the Vulcan ambassador to Earth.
Nitpick: There are several references to the fact that Andorians and Vulcans came into conflict over the planet "a century" or "100 years" ago. That would be about 2052-2053. But then it's stated the Vulcans tried to claim the planet in 2097, and that Soval had been on the planet for 50 years.
Trivia: The healing device used to heal Lt. Reed's leg in the episode "Dead Stop" can be seen in the background of Shuttle Bay 2 when Archer and T'Pol are examining the alien ship.

Trivia: Jonathan Archer is condemned to the dilithium mines of Rura Penthe. In the Star Trek: The Undiscovered Country, James T. Kirk and Leonard McCoy are also convicted in a Klingon court and then imprisoned on Rura Penthe.
Trivia: Though the Duras seen in this episode is a disgraced officer, his family will gain considerable standing in later years so that by the 24th century, another Klingon named Duras will be an extremely powerful member of the High Council.
