First Contact is easily my favorite Star Trek: The Next Generation film - followed by Insurrection and Generations with Nemesis lagging behind.

Not that I have anything against ST, mind you, other than that nothing compares with the original series, but I wish you had added a "hated the whole ST:TNG movie series as being a complete waste of time and money, and I am oh so glad that I saw them in the cheap-o theaters or on home video or on TV, and didn't pay full price for them" option in your poll! For better or worse, Star Dreck is a thing of the past: Kirk is now a sexist lawyer in Boston; Scotty and McCoy are dead, Jim; and though I grok Spock, the rest of the cast have gone into obscurity. I'm not even going to bother to rent the current ST prequel (ST:Enterprise was dismal; how much more exciting can a film that obviously relies solely on special effects be???) which went in and out of theatres faster than you can say "Whoosh!" as the Starship Enterprise ("N-C-C-1-7-0-1. No bloody A - B - C - or D!") flies by the TV screen. And what was the deal with hiring a guy named "Chris Pine" to take over for "Chris Pike"??? Geez! Can the producers be just a little more subtle??? But, I digress . . .

Of course Generations. Not a difficult choice for me considering the other three are so bad. In my opinion this was the last good Star Trek film before the reboot. I have to admit Star Trek: Generations is in my top ten film list.

Its easy First Contact because it had the best story. It had the Borg and Alice Krige was a great villain.

First Contact is miles ahead of the other 3. Insurrection is a like a two part TV episode, Generations is a strange mish-mash of new and old, with a TV director, apparently with little idea of the Star Trek universe feel, and Nemesis was just lacking.
@skaizun, looks like that lobotomy didn't pay off.
