Spoilers (still have some people here that are just beginning DS9)

I've always thought DS9 would look good on the big screen, though I wouldn't see O'Brien coming back (teaching at Starfleet Academy) or Worf (ignore that crap "Nemesis," he's still ambassador to Kronos) - they pretty much left Odo to return at some point as well, with him getting the Founders starightened out, Garak to fix things on Cardassia, and Kira, Jake, Cassidy, Bashir, and Ezri on the station, so there could be room for a story with them left, but how would public understand the Prophets?

I don't care, I would *love* to see a DS9 movie , that reunites everyone and stuff...

That's some good news, and I think Abrams could do a decent job...Sayid, Sydney, Sisko? Hmm...

What about picking the Q storyline? or was that done to death in Voyager?

I'll pass on Q. Not that it was done to death on Voyager, per se., but as I've mentioned in other threads (including reviews) on Voyager, the last few experiences with him were real shark-jumpers. Not much room for his character to grow, either, we've seen him do the parent/enlightened adult bit, about as far as you can go with a basically one-dimensional character.
I also don't want to see Romulans/Klingons/Borg etc. If we were to have a continuation of DS9, some more with the Orion Syndicate would be cool. Possibly them in league with something even bigger to threaten the Alpha Quadrant, possibly some race from TOS that never really got fleshed out. Or a Mirror Universe movie, with cameos of "evil" guests from NG/Voyager etc. we'd like to see, who knows? Same could be set in TOS if that is where Abrams is planning to take it, either way could be right up Abrams' alley.

Now THAT, I would like to see! They could bring everyone from TNG, DS9, and VOY back (or as masny as possible anyway - even if they are breif cameos) just to see what everyone is up to. Maybe some major threat is at hand, as you stated, Lobo, and they have to defend themselves. Most any decent idea for that movie would work. I also agree that maybe bringing in some of the fanfic novelists wouldn't be a bad idea.

I wasn't joking (though I wish I awas) The news is from WP, it's the biggest Polish news portal. They don't give the source but though they are slow sometimes (yesterday, they indulged us with that 7 minutes clip from X3, yeah, that clip that's avilable since the beginning of may O_o), their are reliable.

This rumor has been circulating for several months now, and I seriously doubt Abrams would consider Bennifer knowing how sick we all are of him. What source did they cite in the article, Kirke?

the movie is made/it will be released give it a chance if this fails there will be no new trek.if it fails because it is bad then fair enough.but it would be a shame to see it fail purely becausethe so calld fans are too prejudiced to even wactch it once mak1701

I second that, furthermore I have hopes the movie will be good and I'll see it even if it looks like its going to be bad, but even if its great I will still will miss having new Star Trek on my TV once a week. If the movie is successful I hope there's a new show in the future maybe not the same crew as the movies I don't honestly care its just been pretty bleak without Star Trek on the air.
