Okay, I'll pick "Emergence" this time lol. Better than BS fantasy land built by aliens for a human... out of a book.

Hugh in "I, Borg" or Hugh in "Descent Pt II"?

Hugh in "I, Borg". His appearance in "Descent" was way too "deus ex machina" for me.

And I'm glad someone picked "Emergence". I've had that episode on the brain for days!

    "Haven" or "Cost of Living"?

"Cost Of Living." Depsite the bugs and the wretched 2nd-rate Cirque De Soleil holodeck characters, this episode had some good laughs. Ha!
"Haven" sucked, with it's half-baked Deanna pre-arranged marriage plot and some really cheap special FX, even for 1987, with the leper barge ship, sheesh.

"The Higher Ground" or "Pre-Emptive Strike?"

    Hmmmmmmmm...A thinly-veiled IRA or a thinly-veiled French Resistance?

I'll pick "Preemptive Strike", only because of the wonderful, introspective direction by Patrick Stewart, but keep in mind, NO ONE became a dirty traitor in "The High Ground".

Glad to see some love for "Cost of Living". For me, Campio was what made that episode. For an actor who's always playing creeps, Tony Jay has amazing comic timing.

    Logan or Remmick?

Remmick had the redeeming quality of asking for a post on the ship after his investigation, so I pick him. The whole "take over the Federation" thing was a bug's idea, not his, so I won't hold it against him.

    Commander Maddox or Admiral Nechayev?

I'll pick Maddox, because he was a brilliant scientist in addition to being a seasoned officer. Plus, he and Data parted as friends. Nechayev always seemed too irritable, and she was always out to screw Jean-Luc (not THAT way!). She and Jellico should've gotten together.

And Remmick was such a great character. What a jerk! Robert Schenkkan, who played him, is now a successful playwright.

    Jarok or Tomalak?

Tomalak's return brought me one of my favorite episodes "Future Imperfect." So, "Ambassador" Tomalak.

    Speaking of "Future Imperfect"...

    Admiaral Picard or Captain Riker?

Admiral Picard. The goatee made him resemble "Mirror Spock"!

Getting tough to think of questions...

Data episodes: "Hero Worship" or "Thine Own Self"?

"Hero Worship." A boy who mimics an android to the point where he doesn't sleep (but he falls asleep anyway).

    "The Survivors" or "Violations"?

"The Survivors". What could have been a so-so story was elevated by the acting.

    "Reunion" or "Family"?

"Family". Like Jean-Luc's uncle and brother. Didn't care for killing off Khey'lehr in "Reunion," real wasted potential there.

Kurn or Worf, better table manners?

    Can I say "neither"?

OK, I pick Worf...he wasn't too gross at the tea ceremony.

Worf as Sheriff or as Will Scarlett?

    Can I say neither, too?

Will settle for Sherriff, at least he kept his dignity there.

Troi as Durango or The Goddess Of Empathy?

The Goddess of Empathy... that was priceless.

Captain Data from "Reunification Pt 2" or from "Gambit Pt 2"?

"Gambit". That closing vignette in the second part was priceless.

    Speaking of "Gambit"...

Robin Curtis as Saavik or Tallera?

Tallera, of course, as I am a TNG fan. But, speaking of Saavik... I didn't know until just now that Kirsty Ally played a Vulcan (I haven't seen anything before ST: VII). Anyway...

Commander Beverly Crusher: Bridge officer (like from Descent), or Doctor Beverly Crusher: Cheif Medical Officer?

Chief Medical Officer. Out of everyone who had command, she seemed to be the least capable (and I'm including Troi!)

    I believe Saavik was half-Vulcan, half-Romulan, am I right?

    Durken or Krola?

Ishara, because I can safely say I haven't had any dirty thoughts about Paul Sorvino!
