Have any of you read Peter Davids' "Imzadi" and "Imzadi II"? Any thoughts?

I read "Imzadi" a very long time ago, thought it was quite good. Then, have been a fan of David's a long time, since his work on Spectacular Spider-Man and The Hulk for Marvel, before going into the ST novel business.

I read "Vendetta" a ST novel by Peter David in which the Borg return. It was very good.

Love those, I think they should be cannon. The only thing that was eventually contradicted is where Riker/Troi last saw each other before seperating. In the book, it was in a museum, on the show it was the Jinaren (sp?) Falls. But Imzadi II explained it.

I began watching this show a few months ago. I enjoyed both those books as they were so well written. I prefer the first, especially as it gave some background to the troi-riker relationship . Back when the book was published,I wonder if there was ever any talk about making the first into a made for tv movie

I read Vendetta many years ago and loved it. I think that book got me hooked on TNG before I really saw much of the series.

And, yes, Troi and Riker alluded to their past from the beginning in "Encounter at Farpoint." Then, they kinda danced around the issue here and there for much of the series. Of course, there was the whole Troi-Worf fiasco, which always seemed extremely forced and awkward to me. I'm glad they kina got it right in some of the movies and books.
