  • Trivia

    • When Crusher returns to Engineering to find the vortex, she orders the turbolift to deck 36. The lights in the turbolift "window" move from top to bottom, indicating upward motion. But Crusher is on the bridge which is deck 1. The lights should have been moving in the opposite direction.

    • When Picard tells Riker to put all non-essential personnel in their quarters, he also puts the ship on Red Alert. Usually when the ships is R.A. status, it makes the alarm noise constantly, unless the captain or first officer tells the computer otherwise. Yet, all you see are the red lights.

    • It is stated that the bubble is collapsing at a rate of 15 meters per second. That make its speed 54 Kph (34 Mph). When Beverly gets out of the turbolift she starts running and can easily stay ahead of the energy barrier despite its high speed.

    • In the end, Dr. Crusher says that Geordi and Wesley are trying to create the vortex in Engineering, so that is where it will appear. However, the vortex appeared in Sickbay earlier and on the bridge the last time it occurred.

    • Shortly after the warp bubble starts eating away the Enterprise, Geordi states that it contracts at a rate of 15 meters per second and that they will lose it in about four minutes. That would mean the bubble has a diameter of at least 7000 meters, not 700. (But then again, the metric inside the bubble might be distorted as well...)

  • Quotes

    • Beverly: You know, Jean-Luc... you could disappear at any moment, but there's something I'd like to tell you. It's just that you and I... (Picard disappears) I won't forget you. I won't forget any of you!

    • Beverly: Computer, what is the mission of the Enterprise?
      Computer: To explore the galaxy.
Beverly: And do I alone have the skills necessary to complete that mission?
      Computer: Negative.
Beverly: Then why am I the only crew member on board? (the computer hesitates) Aha. Gotcha.
Computer: That information is not available.

    • Beveryly: My thoughts created this universe. Can they get me out of it again?
Computer: That information is not available.
Beverly: I'm not talking to you!

    • Traveller: As long as she thinks she's alive... she's alive.
Riker: What the hell does that mean?

    • Beverly: If this were a bad dream, would you tell me?
Computer: That is not a valid question.
      Beverly: Like hell it's not.

    • Dr. Crusher: Click my heels three times and im back in Kansas. Can it be that simple?

    • Beverly: Here's a question you shouldn't be able to answer: Computer, what is the nature of the universe?
Computer: The universe is a spheroid region, 705 meters in diameter.

    • Beverly: If there's nothing wrong with me... maybe there's something wrong with the universe!

    • Geordi: I want my warp engines back now.
      Wesley: I'm almost done, Commander.
Geordi: Almost isn't good enough! You want to be the one to explain when the Captain says "Engage" and we just sit there?

    • Beverly: It's all perfectly logical to you, isn't it? The two of us roaming about the galaxy in the flagship of the Federation. No crew at all.
Picard: We've never needed a crew before.
