FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (6)

    • When Geordi falls down the hole, his VISOR can clearly be seen to fall to his right as he lands. However, when he wakes up and searches for it, he finds it on his left.

    • After Wesley makes his neutrino pulse suggestion, Picard tells him to go do it. Wesley walks off camera. Then there's a commercial break, and Wesley is back on the bridge in the long shots. A few minutes later we hear the turbolift and Wesley walks back onto the bridge.

    • When Riker first beams down he uses a flashlight - if you look closely you can see the electrical cord that runs down his sleeve to an off-screen generator.

    • When the window in the storm opens, Data says they have nine minutes and 40 seconds. Then he and the others continue talking for about a minute and a half, with no cutaways or indication of time passing. At the end of the conversation Data says they have three minutes until they lose the window.

    • Wesley sets up the probe to emit a neutrino pulse, but later Data says it is a neutrino stream (the graphics make it look like a stream).

    • At the end of the episode, Picard tells Romulan Commander Tomalak that the Enterprise will escort them out of Federation space to the Neutral Zone. However, the last shot clearly shows the Enterprise and the Romulan Warbird leaving the area in separate directions. (The scene is a recycle of the final scene in the second season episode "Contagion", with the Iconian planet edited to become Galorndon Core.)

  • QUOTES (3)

  • NOTES (2)

    • This is John Snyder's first appearance on ST:TNG. His second appearance was as Aaron Connor in season 5, episode 113, "The Masterpiece Society"

    • This is Andreas Katsulas' first appearance as the Romulan commander, Tomalak. He proved to be a worthy villain for Picard and would reappear in the episodes, "The Defector," "Future Imperfect," and the series finale, "All Good Things..."
