  • Trivia

    • Trivia: This episode marks the first usage of Greek letters to label the quadrants of space.

    • The first time Devinoni Ral comes to Troi's quarters, her "doorbell" rings and she tells him to come in. Now, the "doorbells" are of course right outside on the door frame, so Ral should be standing in front of her quarters. But when the door opens he is not there, but he does walk in from the right, looking like he was still walking down the hall and had not yet got to her quarters to push the button when Troi's "doorbell" rang.

    • In "The Naked Now," Data does not know what "needle in a haystack" means until Riker rewords it, "proverbial needle in a haystack." In this case, "proverbial lemon" should have clued Data in to what was being said.

    • During one of the conversations in Ten-Forward between Riker and Ral, in the long shots the stars aren't moving in the viewports, but when the camera cuts to close-ups of Ral, the stars behind him through the same viewport are moving.

    • Data doesn't know what a "proverbial lemon" means, even though it can be found in most dictionaries (like the one he quotes from memory in "The Measure of a Man").
