Star Trek: The Next Generation

Season 3 Episode 25

Aired Unknown Jun 04, 1990 on CBS

  • Trivia

    • At the beginning, Dr. Crusher says that the crash survivor's heart "needs active neural feedback" and that "it can't regulate itself." She then attaches Geordi's nervous system to the patient, saying "your brain will regulate both systems." The heart is not controlled by the brain; cardiac muscle is regulated by impulses the heart sends to itself, not by impulses sent to it from the central nervous system.

    • At the beginning of the episode, energy goes from John Doe to Geordi's head. All during the rest of the episode whenever this happens the person that John Doe touches is healed of whatever is wrong with them. Why isn't Geordi healed of being blind? Instead he supposedly gets a boost of confidence from John Doe.

  • Quotes

    • Dr. Crusher: Now these bands will send electrical impulses to your muscles, and help stimulate your ability to walk.
John: Don't worry about me, Beverly. At the moment, I feel like I could fly. (stumbling into Beverly's arms) Although, perhaps I should learn to walk first.

    • Worf: Less talk, more synthehol!

  • Notes

    • This episode features a character named Nurse Temple, as a tribute to the similarly named Nurse Chapel from the original series.
