And are replaced by strangers who claim they have no idea how they arrived. Soon, nearly the whole crew is gone, and there is no way of stopping the strangers from appearing and overrunning the ship. This episode was not as good as i expected. There is so much to do with the idea of the plot. The resolutino was a bit far fetched and again humans from earth seemed to be the most intelligent being in the Universe. Too bas that the Tom and B’Elana's romantic future together seemd to hit a palier. The resolution of the dilemma is pretty lame and happens a bit quickly for me.moreless

Displaced was a fair episode of Star Trek: Voyager. I didn't really care for this episode thought I thought the idea of the story was pretty cool, it just seemed a bit boring though. This is definitely a filler episode and though there are some good moments and fun scenes over all it is not a must see in order to follow the series. I certainly look forward to watching the next episode of Star Trek: Voyager!moreless

Paris and Torres are walking down one of the ship’s corridors, when a stranger appears. The stranger’s name is Dammar. Dammar says he has been abducted. Paris says they did not do it. Dammar complains of the ship being too cold. Paris sends him to sickbay. The Doctor checks Dammar out and raises the room temperature of sickbay to accommodate Dammar. The Doctor wonders where Kes is. Kes is not aboard the ship. Dammar explains he is a Nyrian. Another Nyrian beams aboard the ship and another crew member disappears. Janeway figures it all out, but is it too late?moreless

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • Nitpick: Carrying only a makeshift firearm, it seems odd that neither of Paris and Torres take the Nyrian weapons from their pursuers after they succumb to the freezing temperatures of the Argalan biosphere.

    • Nitpick: In the icy biosphere, Tom's and B'Elanna's breath doesn't fog, though it is ostensibly extremely cold.

  • QUOTES (4)

    • B'Elanna: My hands are completely numb!
Paris: Here. (grabs B'Elanna's hands to warm them) I would have thought all that hot Klingon blood would have kept you warm.
B'Elanna: (shivering) Shows how much you know about Klingons. They have much less tolerance for the cold than Humans do.
Paris: Really? I thought that was Cardassians.
B'Elanna: No, they just complain about it more.

    • B'Elanna: (seething about Tom's earlier accusation that she's extremely prickly) You don't think that I'm 'hostile', do you?
Kim: (nervously) I, uh, wouldn't describe you that way, no.
B'Elanna: I know that I have a temper. But that doesn't mean that I'm always 'hostile', does it?
      Kim: No, of course not.
B'Elanna: I'm forthright, I speak my mind, and that is very different from being 'hostile'.
      Kim: Very different.
B'Elanna: And if they described me that way, they'd be way off the mark, wouldn't they?!
Kim: (backing away nervously) Way off.
B'Elanna: Then why do you look like you're afraid for your life? (Harry tries, but can't think of anything to say)

    • The Doctor: Welcome to Sickbay. Take a number.

    • Paris: The Captain sent me down to get an update.
B'Elanna: Well, we're just about ready. I've reconfigured the Doctor's optical sensors and as soon as they're aligned he should be able to detect the microwave signatures of the portals.
The Doctor: Then I can begin my new career as a Tricorder.
