Goof: Tuvok and Paris obtain the truck by taking it for a test drive. But a dealership would require a salesman to go along. They also often require a copy of your driver's license. There's no way Paris and Tuvok would have been able to take the truck under those circumstances.
Trivia: The Chronowerx logo is the same as the Federation insignia from the 29th century, as seen on Captain Braxton's comm badge.
Trivia: Among the items in Rain's lab are a model of a Talosian (from The Original Series episode "The Cage") and a model of the SS Botany Bay with rocket pack (from The Original Series "Space Seed").
Goof: The Post-It note stuck to the monitor of Rain's computer starts out white with the message "Remember Movie @ 7pm" written on it in the first shot. By the time Rain notices the computer beeping, the note has changed to yellow with the message now appearing as "REMEMBER MOVIE @ 7pm" (now in capitals). When Rain checks the screen again while on the phone to Starling, the original white note is back, but it is back to yellow as she sends the SETI message to Voyager.
Nitpick: Janeway tells Kim to "upload" Starling's database to Voyager. The correct term would be "download", as the database is being received by Voyager, not sent.
Nitpick: It is said that the transporter can't be used because the main pattern buffer is down. However, the shuttles, which would seem far less conspicuous to the 20th Century humans, have their own transporters.
Paris: Somehow, I doubt that taking a test drive is going to alter the course of the universe.
Henry: Do you think E.T. likes Chateau Coeur?
Rain: Well, if he doesn't, I've got a six pack in the fridge.
Janeway: As I recall, Tom, you're something of an affecionado on 20th century America.
Paris: That's right.
Janeway: What will we need to pass as locals in this era?
Paris: Simple. Nice clothes, a fast car, and lots of money.
Paris: Ah, the sun feels great!
Tuvok: Thermal and ultra-violet radiation are at hazardous levels.
Paris: Lighten up Tuvok. This was a great time and place, and you're getting to see it firsthand. C'mon, take off your shirt.
Tuvok: And risk dermal dysplasia? No thank you.
Chakotay: Captain, if he's telling the truth...
Janeway: I won't sacrifice this ship and crew based on a ten second conversation, I need proof!
Chakotay: Doesn't look like we're going to get it.
Janeway: Time travel - from my first day in the job as a Starfleet Captain, I swore that I would never get myself caught in one of these god-forsaken paradoxes, the future is the past, the past is the future, it all gives me a headache...
Tuvok: ...and as for my ears; they're a family trait.
Paris: He's very sensitive about them.
Neelix: Ooh... I can't wait to see if Blain's twin brother is the father of Jessica's baby.
Rain Robinson: What is that thing in your pants?
Tuvok: I beg your pardon?
Rain Robinson: Geese don't park themselves 20,000 kilometres above North America.
Paris: Huh, Vulcans... deep down, you're all a bunch of hypochondriacs.
Tuvok: We could have worn our Starfleet uniforms. I doubt if anyone would have noticed.
