Inside Man was a perfect episode of Star Trek: Voyager and I really enjoyed watching this episode because it had a lot of character and plot development, drama, intrigue and an interesting story. It was fun to see Barclay and a hologram of him. It was neat how the Doctor was suspicious of the Barclay hologram. I like how the story played out and how every thing ended. I look forward to watching the next episode!!!!!!!!!moreless

The crew of Voyager has not received mail from home in over a month. There is a datastream on its way. It gets jammed in the ship's transceiver. Harry Kim and Seven work together to bring the messages in. It is not messages, but a hologram. Why is Starfleet sending Voyager a hologram? Is The Doctor sick? The hologram is a replica of Lt Barclay. The hologram seems evil. I do not think Reginald Barclay would even act the way. The hologram is going to help Voyager get home in a matter of days. Will they make it? I rate this episode a 9.5moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • Trivia: The plan for Voyager to get home utilizes a Geodesic Fold. In geometry, geodesic means the shortest line between two points. In this case, folding two points of space together and travelling in a straight line between and through them.

    • Goofs: When B'Elana runs a diagnostic of Reg in the holodeck, he repeatedly appears and disappears. Since he is wearing The Doctor's mobile emitter, this should fall to the floor when Reg disappears; however, the emitter disappears too. Not to mention that "Reg" is in the holodeck. He shouldn't need the mobile emiter in the first place.

  • QUOTES (6)

    • Deanna: Will and I decided to spend the rest of our vacation in Tiberon. We were wondering if you were free for dinner tonight.
Reg: Ah... I... Oh... I wouldn't want to be a third nacelle.

    • Admiral Paris: Occupation?
      Leosa: Dabo girl.
      Admiral Paris: Dabo?
Leosa: It's a Ferengi game. I work aboard one of their cruise ships.
Barclay: You -- you told me you were a teacher!
      Admiral Paris: Is this true?
Leosa: Sometimes I'm a teacher. Sometimes I'm a Bajoran Vedek. (giggles girlishly) Whatever the customer wants.

    • Holo-Barclay: (on Ferengi ship monitor) In accordance with the 74th Rule of Acquisition, 'Knowledge Equals Profit', I've enclosed the specifications you've requested. See you soon. (an image of Seven of Nine appears on monitor)
Nunk: Oh, look at those hands. I bet she gives great oo-mox.
Yeggie: Too bad she'll be dead when she gets here.

    • (Tom shows some reluctance about Barclay's plan to get Voyager home)
Holo-Barclay: (in Tuvok's voice) Your pessimism is illogical. Perhaps a mind-meld would help to alleviate your concern.

    • Harkins: Your teacher tells me you've been studying some of the Delta quadrant races that Voyager's described to us. Who can name one for me?
      Girl 1: The Talaxians.
      Harkins: Very good.
      Girl 2: The Ocampa.
      Harkins: That's right. Who else?
Barclay: The Borg! The Borg! They assimilated my hologram. That's how it disappeared.

    • Barclay: Was everything that happened between us a lie?
Leosa: Not everything. Just the parts where I expressed affection for you.
      Barclay: Oh.
Leosa: If it makes any difference, it wasn't personal. It was just business.
Barclay: What exactly is a broken heart worth these days, hmm?
      Leosa: Ten percent.
