Do any of us really need to go through this? I think we know how it is going to turn out.

    Kirk - 3
    Riker - 1

You've got a point. I just thought it to be fair to go through the formaltities.

    Well, it's over:

    CAPT James Kirk - 4
    CAPT Will Riker - 0

    So, we've done it!
Here is the "Ultimate Star Trek Crew", as voted by a very FEW fans:

COMMANDING OFFICER : CAPT James Kirk

EXECUTIVE OFFICER : CAPT Will Riker

CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER: CDR Beverly Crusher

    COUNSELOR: LTJG Ezri Dax

    SCIENCE OFFICER: CAPT Spock

    TACTICAL: LCDR Tuvok

    OPERATIONS MANAGER: LCDR Data

    CHIEF ENGINEER: CAPT Montgomery Scott

    COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER: CDR Uhura

    HELMSMAN: CAPT Hikaru Sulu

EXCESS STARFLEET PERSONNEL: LT Reginald Barclay

    OTHER PERSONNEL: Odo

    LOUNGE LIZARD: Quark

    So, was it fun?

What does everyone think of our crew? Any surprises? Any moans, groans, or disappointments?

I'd take Bones and Worf over Crusher and Tuvok any day of the week.

I'd rather have Chakotay than Barclay.  When faced with battle, Chakotay wouldn't be running to the holodeck.

Chakotay is just one victim. Something of a statistical oddity, we went pretty heavy with TOS crew, while only ONE VGR  (and NO ENT) person  made the cut.

Overall, I am generally pleased with the outcome. My only quips might be our CMO and Counselor. As I have not seen much of DS9 yet, I am not familiar with Ezri and so I might have gone with Deanna - but I don't really care. I am less than willing to go to bat for this one.

I feel that McCoy or even "The Doc" deserve the CMO title; they were much more innovative than Crusher ever was. This one I am willing to go to bat for. Can we have a revote? I want to challenge the hanging chads on this category!

He'd be running to his "spiritual guides", or whatever they were. Chakotay was lame; Barclay was one of a kind.

Better "spiritual guides" than a shrink. At least Chakotay had a grip on himself.

He had no social life...you're right, he probably did have a "grip on himself" late at night in his quarters!

Barclay's many neuroses made him interesting. Plus, he's shown up so many times after TNG ended.

Yes, he had a grip in that sense, with either Seven in his quarters or Janeway, for that matter. What did Reg have? The future equivelant of a blow-up doll. His neuroses got to be pretty absurd after a while -- would someone that neurotic be allowed to stay in active duty? Nuh-uh.

Well, I think that the CMO role is a no-lose situation; no matter which Doctor we pick, we really can't go wrong. I like Bashir, myself, but there really aren't any BAD choices (except Pulaski).

I suppose you're right... but I still would prefer someone with more ingenuity than Dr. Crusher.
