I'd like to introduce something (created by our own LithiumAngel) that we're doing on the Voyager and TNG forums... just to bring a little life to it. The game is SIMPLE and only involves opinion.

I'll ask a "this or that" question: "Which do you prefer, this, or that?" and all you do is answer (give a reason if you'd like) and pose your own question. Easy as holographic pie. I'll start...

    Dr. Boyce or Dr. Piper?

    Boyce. The original article.

Seeing as how I am not a TOS fan (please don't hurt me!), I have no clue, so I am not answering the question. I will leave that for someone else. I just wanted to say something...

I was hoping that we could make T-or-T on the TOS forum open to ALL canon genres. This way if we wanted to compare characters or events, episodes or costumes, or WHATEVER from a different series then we would have a place to do so. However, any questions posed that only involve one series should be posted on that series' forum. Of course, since this IS the TOS forum, there will be questions that only fall into that category.

Is that okay with you guys?

That's fine with me. Of course, there probably won't be many objections, since there are only 3 or 4 of us here!

    First easy comparison question:
    Spock or Data?

Trelane, the precursor to Q. The Organians were dishonest; they could have just told Kirk and company their true nature from the start.

    This question is borderline TOS-exclusive:
"The Way to Eden" or Star Trek V:The Final Frontier?

Star Trek V. Lawrence Luckinbill is totally cool as Sybok, in my opinion, and we see a lot better acting in that instead of a bunch of surfers chanting "Herbert".

Laser-pistols from "The Cage" or hand-held phaser unit?

Phaser. Usually, I go with originals, but I can't argue with success.

"Space Seed" or "A Piece Of the Action"?

    Nurse Ogawa, better character development.

    TOS, coolest sound effect.

TOS Klingon Battle Cruiser or TOS Movie/NG Bird Of Prey? (something they have erroneusly pictured above as being in same time frame as TOS 5-year mission)

    TOS Battle Cruiser.

Helmsmen: Hikaru Sulu or Wesley Crusher?

P.S.: Do you think we should start posing TWO questions per post(one TOS-exclusive, the other all-encompassing)?

Sulu, Wesley was just too know-it-all for me.

Kirk in dress uniform (from IV, I think) or Picard in same dress uniform ("Tapestry")?

There's a thought... but that may cause some confusion. lol For now, as long as you throw in an other-than-TOS canon question every few questions I think it will be fine. But that's just me. Plus, this way, we don't run through possible questions so quickly.
