When I was a kid, I loved Kirk. Now, Spock easily takes first place (although you can't help but want to party with Scotty). What makes Spock so loveable is his humor and wit, combined with genuine warmth under that tough exterior. He is much more subtle than brash, womanizing,loud-mouthedKirk. A raised eyebrow and a sly remark often show his three-dimensional character.

I couldn't agree with you more! Only for me, it's always been Spock.

My favorite character from Star Trek is Spock -- I love how Leonard Nimoy acted out the character with such class.

Spock all the way Although I really do love them all. It'll be REALLY hard watching different actors play those guys in the new movie

Why aren't Sulu and Uhura listed in this poll?

    Spock is the logical choice.

    who saw that one coming?

My favorite of the ones are either Chekov or Scottie. Walter Koenig was quitea cutie back then. However, I actually like Scottie after he aged a bit.

Scottie. He was a little stereotyped, but still great.

I voted for Scotty. My favorite episodes (Wolf in the Fold, Friday's Child, and A Taste of Armageddon) are the one where he has command of the Enterprise or a larger the usual roll.

Ah, poor Chekov! If only I'd known no one had voted for him before I voted...

Actually, I love all of the main characters almost equally, but Spock takes it just by a little. I love his comments and Vulcan-ness.

I don't much care for Janice Rand, though... everyone else is cool.

Also, I feel somewhat saddened by the absense of Sulu's name.

True, could anyone add the missing regular and often recurring characters to the list?

My favorite is Spock. Could there be any doubt. The series would not be half as much fun without the exotic element that Spock provides on a weekly basis. Similar, but just strange enought to have you constantly questioning your views. And such a overall hot guy, too. Beautiful, smart, strong, powerful, mysterious .... sorry, I'm rambling.

Spock is my prefered character. Sulu comes second, then Chehov, then Kirk, then...Scotty.

Kirk all the way. Sometimes great, sometimes so-bad-he's-good, but always fun to watch. Sort of an intergalactic James Bond in some ways, with all the gadgets and women and action.

I think I like McCoy the best. To me he just seems the most "human" and "down to earth", so to speak. He's also the funniest.
