After learning of what happened on the surface, we are taken to a space battle between Anakin's squadron and the droid army. This is a high action chapter jumping between different dog fights. It appears as though Anakin and his troopers will win when all of a sudden a mysterious pilot joins and overvelms the Republic. The pilot is none other than Asajj Ventress, on her mission to kill Anakin Skywalker! After the two chase each other around, Ventress escapes into hyperspace. Obi-Wan calls demanding an update, and upon learning of what has transpired, tells Anakin not to follow. Anakin disagrees, and chases Ventress no doubt falling into a trap...moreless

- Anakin jumps to hyperspace without using a hyperdrive ring. Both the Jedi Starfighters used in "Attack of the Clones" and "Revenge of the Sith"-- Delta-7 Aethersprites and Eta-2 Actis Interceptors respectively -- were too small to hold or power hyperdrives. As such, both required TransGalMeg hyperdrive rings. Even though Anakin was an ace pilot and may have modified his starfighters to certain degrees, it would have been impossible to include hyperdrives. It would be essentially like strapping a jet engine to a VW Beetle.

  Anakin flying through the separatists' Starship is a direct reference to when he flies the through the droid control ship in Star Wars Episode I, but the only difference is that he doesn't crash-land.
