    • Ziro the Hutt mistakenly calls Ahsoka a human during this episode. She is in fact a Togruta.

    • The same effects are used for Ahsoka's visions in this episode that were used for Anakin's in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

    • It is revealed that this episode and the season two finale Lethal Trackdown are actually prequels to the season one finale Hostage Crisis. This story arc continues to add to the confusing timeline of the series.

    • This marks only the second episode in which Qui-Gon is mentioned in the series. He was also mentioned in the season two episode Voyage of Temptation. Qui-Gon was, however, indirectly mentioned in The Clone Wars feature film.

    • During the initial scenes on Alderaan, Leia's Theme from the Saga can briefly be heard.

  • Allusions

    • When the medical droid evaluates Padme's condition after she is shot, it says "It is only a flesh wound", much like the famous line of the Black Knight in Monty Python.
