Newsreel:
Lethal trackdown! The young Boba Fett has taken the law into his own hands and made two attempts on the life of Mace Windu, the Jedi Master who killed his father. Boba's mentor, bounty hunter Aurra Sing, has taken three Republic officers hostage in an effort to force Windu to face Boba on their terms, a tactic that does not sit well with the young vigilante...
Jedi Fortune Cookie: "Revenge is a confession of pain."
Boba Fett: I realize now that I've done terrible things, but you started it when you murdered my father! I'll never forgive you!
Mace Windu: Well, you're going to have to.
It is strange that Aurra Sing does not use her lightsaber in this episode. In the Expanded Universe, she is rarely seen without it. According to Dave Filoni, George Lucas did not want Aurra to use her lightsaber or appear to have access to the Force in the series. Filoni states he didn't want any of the attention taken from Asajj Ventress.
This is the first episode of the series to be written and directed by series Supervising Director, Dave Filoni.
