  • Jarring -- Compared to Season 6

I had recently finished watching the new Season 6 on Netflix and decided to go through the older episodes to see how well they held up. So far, not as well, but that's not what I found surprising. The differences in the styles of the characters are interesting.

Aside from the slightly rustier animation, and the old-fashioned Clone armor, the character (and voice) of Anikan are drastically different. I'm sure it was partially purposeful, but even the way he speaks in this episode compared to that of the later episodes surprised me greatly. His voice is gentler, almost feminine, and I was taken aback. I feel like it slowly gets darker and louder as the show progresses, as does the character, and I found that this was an interesting way for the show to, well, show that.

Anyway, all around good episode. Better than the pilot, a little darker, a little more death, and better style.moreless
  • "Rising Malevolence" Episode 2 Malevolently AWESOME

This episode also had my eyes glued open, and taped to the screen. It has an exceptional mix of suspence, action, space, giant red dots, (I think it was a planet) Anakin, Ahsoka, Plo Kool, (he is cool) and Holographic images Of people talking. The story follows Plo Kool and his fleet of 3 Jedi Crousers getting destroyed by General Grievous's new flagship, and the result is a long adventures trip in an escape pod, hanging on for life. However, Anakin and Ahsoka, who are suppost to stay and wait for Obi-Wan and others, are eager to rescue Plo Koon. Malevolently Awesome, this episode was.moreless
  • A wonderful intro to Anakin(spoilers, do not read if you have not seen)

Genius, Genius, Genius! A wonderful way to introuduce Anakin and Ashoka in the series. The mission involved a rescue, and following your intuition. Anakin and Ashoka are asked to find a Ion Cannon thet General Grevious has instaled onto his ship the Malevolence. When Master Plo-Koon's ship is caught in the cannons energy pulse, he and his small Clone batalion are forced into escape pods to escape the Battle Droids fireing at them. the ship is scrapped and Anakin and Ashoka go looking for him. when thier secreat rescue mission is discovered by master Obi-Wan, he requestes Anakin to forget looking for the Jedi master and assest in the serch for the Sep. Ship. Ashoka sences master Plo using the froce and they are rescued. now I have not covered all the aspects of the episode but If you havent seen it and have read this review then you have some things to look foward to.

thank you for your time in reading this review and I give this episode 10 out of 10.moreless
  • Quite an exciting episode

This episode was interesting because the Separatists won the battle and destroyed the Republic fleet commanded by Master Plo.

However the episode is more about how and if Master Plo and his clones will survive the ordeal. The episode is made exciting by having droids hunting down the surviving clones to protect thesecrecy of the Separatists newest ship, The Malevolence.

During the episode you also get a closer look at the clones and find that they all have different personalities.

Although the series has been created for the younger audience, I think this episode has thepotential to appeal to others.moreless
  • Rising Malevolence...

Expanding our new Star Wars universe after the Yoda-centric "Ambush", "Rising Malevolence" introduces us to Anakin, Ashoka, Plo-Koon, Obi-Wan, Mace Windu and a plethora of other characters that will appear throughout the series. A deadly ship with an EMP cannon has been destroying the Republic fleet and master Plo is sent to hunt it down. Upon coming across the ship, his flagship is destroyed and Anakin and Ashoka head off to look for survivors. We begin to get an insight into Anakin and Ashoka's relationship as well as a further look at the clones that are the staple of the series. In the end, the day is saved as is expected and the set up for the 3-part arc is put in place.moreless
