  • It was good, but I've seen better...

    6.0
While the action scenes are pretty intense, they over did it. If you really think about it, the movie is just brainless fight scenes after another. When I saw the trailor for this movie I was very excited. After about a week of the movie in theatres, I heard the reviews. People were complaining that it is a stupid storyline and it was boring. I thought that something wasn't right, but I didn't bother seeing the movie like I wanted to. Then in October I started watching the TV Series of the same name. I was suprised on how good the TV Series was. I immediatly got the Season Pass on iTunes. As soon as the Clone Wars movie was out, I bought it on iTunes. I was suprised on how bad it was. All the reviews were right. The story was boring, and the fight scenes were mindless. I beg all Star Wars fans not to be fooled by the dissapointment of the movie and watch the TV Series. It is MUCH better.moreless
  • A different change of pace.

    8.7
the clone wars pilot episode was aired this summer as a movie in theatres. it was the movie i was looking forward to all summer. i saw the movie with my friends and we thought the animation gave star wars a different feel than the live action movies. even though it was a change, we really liked this movie. many people have shyed away from this film because it was animated. these people are missing out on a great experience. the only thing we felt was off was Anakin's personality. He seemed much more mature than in the other films, but otherwise everything else was the same. i recommend seeing this and can't wait for the tv show to air.moreless
  • Good Beginning

    9.5
The movie was awesome. Loved how they did the character development between Ashoka and Anakin. It was very humorous, lots of action, and very creative. The only thing I did not like was: the Announcer for the news reel at the begging was a bit much, the battle droid personality's was so so, and I did not like how Ashoka referee to R2 as RTWOIEE. But over all this was a great begging to the series and I cant what for it to start on TV.

This pilot was good but even as a dedicated Star Wars enthusiast, I do not believe it should have been in the theaters but instead it should had just been a tv movie special. But don't let it distract you from the series it is going to be awesome.moreless

A galaxy divided. Striking swiftly after the battle of Geonosis, Count Dooku's droid army has seized control of the major Hyperspace lanes, separating the Republic from the majority of its clone army. With few clones available, the Jedi generals cannot gain a foothold in the Outer Rim, as more and more planets choose to join Dooku's Separatists. While the Jedi are occupied fighting a war, no one is left to keep the peace. Chaos and crime spread and the innocent become victims in a lawless galaxy. Crime lord Jabba the Hutt's son has been kidnapped by a rival band of pirates. Desperate to save his son, Jabba puts out a call for help. A call the Jedi are cautious to answer...

  • QUOTES (13)

    • Anakin Skywalker: What are you trying to prove, anyway?
Ahsoka Tano: That I'm not too young to be your padawan.
Anakin Skywalker: Ahsoka, a very wise Jedi once said that nothing happens by accident. It is the will of the Force that you are at my side. I just want to keep you there in one piece.

    • Ahsoka Tano: (Just sentenced to death by Jabba) Does this always happen to you?
      Anakin Skywalker: Everywhere I go.

    • Captain Rex: Who's the Youngling?
Ahsoka Tano: I'm Master Skywalker's Padawan. The name's Ahsoka Tano.
Captain Rex: Sir, I thought you said you'd never have a Padawan.
Anakin Skywalker: There's been a mix-up. The Youngling isn't with me.
Ahsoka Tano: Stop calling me that! You're stuck with me, Skyguy.
      (Rex starts to laugh)
Anakin Skywalker: What did you just call me? You don't get snippy with me, little one! You know, I don't even think you're old enough to be a padawan.
Ahsoka Tano: Well maybe I'm not, but Master Yoda thinks I am!

    • Count Dooku: After my droids kill Jabba's son, they will deliver your Padawan to him for punishment for the Huttlet's murder. I can't imagine he will be merciful.

    • Yoda: (About Anakin) Ready he is, to teach an apprentice. To let go of his pupil, a greater challenge it will be. Master this, Skywalker must.

    • Anakin Skywalker: Stay close to me, if you can.
Ahsoka Tano: It won't be a problem, master.
Anakin Skywalker: This isn't practice, Ahsoka.
Ahsoka Tano: I know, and I'll try not ta get ya killed.

    • Asajj Ventress: Master Kenobi, always chasing after Skywalker. How predictable...
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Anakin leaves quite a mess, which always leads me to you, Ventress.

    • Battle Droid Commander: Concentrate fire on Sector 11374265.
Battle Droid Sergeant: 1137... what was that again?
Battle Droid Commander: (Pointing) Just fire right there!

    • Ahsoka Tano: (To herself after defeating three Magna Guards in front of Jabba's Palace) Being a Padawan is harder than I thought.

    • (During the Battle of Christophsis)
General Whorm Loathsom: (Speaking to a holo of a Battle Droid) Why are we stopping?
Battle Droid: We can not get past their cannons, sir.
General Whorm Loathsom: Cannons! This will never do. We must pull back and set up our deflector shield.

    • Ahsoka Tano: So this is where the fun begins.
Anakin Skywalker: Race you to the top?
Ahsoka Tano: I'll give you a head start.
      Anakin Skywalker: Your mistake.

    • Yoda: In Skywalker is the Republic's only hope.

    • Ahsoka Tano: You've got that "we're in trouble" look.
      Anakin Skywalker: There's a look?
Ashoka Tano: You can't miss it.

  • ALLUSIONS (5)

    • Count Dooku: (About Padmé Amidala) This particular Senator is extremely valuable to my Separatist allies.

Count Dooku is referring to how Nute Gunray wants Senator Amidala dead, for humiliating him in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, during the Battle of Naboo.

    • Anakin Skywalker: A wise Jedi once said that nothing happens by accident.

Anakin is referring to Qui-Gon Jinn, in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, regarding their meeting on Tatooine, which resulted in Anakin being trained as a Jedi Knight.

    • Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope

Anakin pilots the Twilight, which is a spice freighter. This references his son Luke saying how Anakin "was a navigator on a spice freighter" in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.

    • Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones:
When Ahsoka asks Anakin about his past on Tatooine, the Tusken Raider battle cry is heard in the background. This is a reference to Anakin's slaughter of a Tusken Raider tribe in Attack of the Clones.

    • The robot ships walking on the hillside resemble the AT-AT from Star Wars: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.
