For me this is one of the best episode of Clone Wars so far, perhaps equalled by Battle of Droids and Defenders of Peace. The Deserter has a perfect blend of action, drama and a good story, and we even see a new and exciting world again.
For me who is among the old generation of Star Wars fans some of the episodes are a bit too fast-paced and even if lightsaber-duels are cool, they don't mean very much if there's no story behind it. So for me this episode is a goodie.
By the way, that checker-board game or what it is called was so cool! The fact that the producers made it look just like the one from the first move - with that animated feel to it - shows that they care about the continuity of the show. Well done!moreless
