While an episode that had its moments, it's nowhere near the quality reached in the first part and really has too many faults to be that good of an episode. Positives, and probably the highlight of the episode, would have to be the interactions between Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Dooku. Conflict makes strange bedfellows, a philosophy clearly demonstrated here as these sworn enemies have to work together to escape the pirates and get off of their "god forsaken planet". What leads to some of the episode's best moments actually also leads to some of its worst as we see the unlikely trio try to escape a few times only to be thwarted by the pirates. It's hard to believe these three would be incapable of getting away from this group, as intelligent as Hondo sometimes appears to be. Even so, this leads to another positive moment, Dooku's escape. Possibly the first time in the series we've seen Dooku personally do something quite so dark side and it's cool in that oh-so evil and violent way. Another point to make is Jar Jar. Oh man, JAR JAR! It probably wouldn't be so bad if Ahmed Best hadn't returned for "Bombad Jedi", but whoever they picked to replace him... geez. The voice is so far off that it's distracting. It probably wouldn't be as bad if it were a character whose tone is a bit more subtle such as Mace or Obi-Wan from time to time, but this is Representative Binks. Nothing he does is subtle and the sometimes irritating hijinks are exacerbated by that voice. Fortunatley, Best is returning for at least one episode in season two. I'll be looking forward to that.moreless
  • Great episode, regardless of Jar Jar.

This was a great episode in my opinion. I was skeptical when Jar Jar was going to be in it, but his part, once again, was not over played and was well written. His clumsiness is quite entertaining. He even had Commander Fox believing he meant to destroy those Weequay's tanks! Dooku really broke out very easy at the end, so it seems to me that this capture has something more to it. I thought it was awesome to see another Kowakian monkey-lizard, other than Salcious B. Crumb, of course. Next weeks looks very good, as Ahsoka's involvement is always exciting to me!moreless

  • QUOTES (5)

    • Anakin Skywalker: You should be more patient, Master. After all, the Count is an elderly gentleman and doesn't move like he used to.
      Obi-Wan Kenobi: I suppose you're right.
Count Dooku: I would kill you both right now if I did not have to drag your bodies.

    • Anakin Skywalker: That can't be right.
Hondo Ohnaka: Are you calling me a liar?
Anakin Skywalker: Isn't that kind of what you do for a living?

    • Hondo Ohnaka: Jedi! After everything, you're just going to walk away?
Obi-Wan Kenobi: We have no quarrel with you, and we seek no revenge.
Hondo Ohnaka: Indeed. Very honorable, Master Jedi.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Oh, Captain, you will find that Count Dooku does not share our sense of honor... and he knows where you live.

    • Hondo Ohnaka: As my sweet mother always said, 'son, if one hostage is good, two are better, and three, well, that's just good business!' Heh heh.

    • Anakin Skywalker: (To Count Dooku) It's bad enough we have to be in the same cell, but could you spare me the sound of your constant chatter!
