    Joe Flanigan was born in Los Angeles, California on January 5, 1967, but grew up near Reno on a small ranch from age 6. His parents, John and Nancy Flanigan, still lives on the small Holcomb Lane ranch where he grew up. He attended boarding school in Ojai, California at the age of 14. While at this school, Joe was Stanley Kowalski in a school production of A Streetcar Named Desire. Joe Flanigan received a degree in History from the University of Colorado, where he also appeared in Coriolanus. During his first year of college, he joined the Junior Year Abroad program which allowed him to study in Paris as a part of his study program. After graduating from college Flanigan worked at a variety of jobs, from banking to politics. He was never completely comfortable in any of these jobs. After he got fired from the Interview magazine, he was broke, and lived in New York City. His next door neighbor was an actor, and he convinced Joe to give it a try. He then studied acting at New York's Neighborhood Playhouse. His first acting jobs were commercials. In 1994 he got his first role in television, in the NBC miniseries Family Album. He was also a regular on the series Sisters and First Monday. Flanigan had guest starring roles on Birds of Prey and Judging Amy as well as Murphy Brown in which he played her love interest, Scott. Flanigan made repeat appearances on the series Providence, Cupid , and Dawson's Creek and also had lead roles in a number of television pilots including The Precinct, Sherman's March, The Force, Man-Made, Club Paradise, and 111 Gramercy Park. He guest starred in the made-for-television movies Edna Buchanon and Tell Me No Secrets. He was a competitive skier for many years, and is still an outdoors man. He enjoys activities such as skiing, rock climbing, surfing, tennis, mountain biking and horseback riding. Flanigan is married to painter Katherine Flanigan. He and his wife have two children. The family lives in Vancouver, Canada while Joe is working at the Stargate Atlantis set. When not working on the Vancouver set of Stargate Atlantis, he and his family make their home in a 1926 English Tudor in the Hancock Park section of Los Angeles.moreless

    Torri Higginson was born in Burlington, Ontario. At age eighteen she moved to England where she studied acting at Guildhall in London.

    She is also remembered in the role of Mary in Anthony Minghella's multiple Academy Award winning "The English Patient."

In the late 1980s he got roles in low budget horror movies such as Friday the 13th and The Dark Side (1987). Simultaneously he earned his living as an employee at the messaging network Voice-Tell Canada for two years. At one time he ran a website design firm called Darkyl Media, and he founded fusefilm.com, an internet community for filmmakers. In 1996, Hewlett got a role on the Canadian series Traders as Grant Jansky. He's got two Gemini nominations Best Performance in a Featured Supporting Role (Canadian equivalent to Emmies) for his role as Grant Jansky on Traders. He married actress Soo Garay in 2000. In 2001 David and Soo moved to Los Angeles to further their acting careers. Hewlett got a high-profile role in an episode of ER. In 2004, David and Soo divorced. In 2004 He got the role of scientist Rodney McKay on Stargate Atlantis. In between jobs, he spends his time doing "a lot of nothing, a lot of hobbies." He made his own film A Dog's Breakfast a comedy which he wrote, directed and acted in. On October 6, 2007 his son Sebastian Flynn Loughman Hewlett was born. He has recently become an American Citizen and on June 21, 2008 married Jane Loughman in Warwick Castle in the UK.moreless

    Joseph Jason Namakaeha Momoa moved with his mother to Iowa where he was raised. His origin is Hawaiian on his fathers side, and German/Irish on his mothers side. His uncle is the surfer Brian Kaulana. He returned to Hawaii to attend college, as he was curious about his Hawaiian roots.

    Jason Planned on being a marine biologist, but now he wouldn't choose any career over acting. He started out as a model, spotted by the prestigious international designer, Takeo while in college. In 1999, he won Hawaii's Model of the Year and hosted the Miss Teen Hawaii USA contest. In 1999 he also participated in the Governor's Fashion Show, and walked the runway for Louis Vuitton.

    His modeling lead to acting, as he got his first role as a series regular on the series Baywatch Hawaii. He also starred in the FOX special Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding and the television movie Tempted. He's also appeared in the movie Johnson Family Vacation. Jason's hopes for the future Professionally is to be doing feature films and to do theater work like Shakespeare. He's on the cast list of the series North Shore At the moment Jason is starring in Stargate Atlantis.

    After a year on the show Baywatch Hawaii, he went on a journey to Tibet. This trip the Buddhist studying Jason describes as "my best life experience". He's also been to France where he's climbed Fountain Bleu. He's also into arts, and while in Paris visiting his mother he also did some pastel painting. Jason is supporting many charities and community groups. He's been working for the Hawaii Food Bank campaign and has spoken to students at various schools. Jason believes he is blessed by strong family values and enjoys sharing his experiences, especially with the youth of today.

    His spare time is spent on rock and ice climbing, mountain biking, snowboarding, long board skateboarding and roller hockey. He also spends his free time on Buddhist studies.moreless

    Although her parents wanted her to become a scientist, and although she excelled in math during school, her aspiration was arts. She won acting and scientific awards while she studied in North Toronto High. She used to wish she could guest star in Coronation Street, her and her mother's favorite TV show.


    Amanda studied and graduated Drama in the University Of Windsor School Of Dramatic Arts in Windsor, Ontario, and spent 4 more years studying theater and appearing on stage. At that time, she was still under her vow not to appear on TV. Later she hired an agent and performed in commercials, using her money to sustain her and her 2 friend's comedic group, in the early 90's. Throughout the years 1995-1997 she participated in TV shows such as Flash Forward, Golden Will: The Silken Laumann Story and Remembrance. She was even a guest star on X-Files. She took part in several films, such as The Donor, Rent-a-Kid, and Booty Call.


    Amanda's career got the huge breakthrough when she won the role of Captain/Major/Colonel Samantha Carter in the TV series Stargate SG1 in 1997.


    Samantha Carter, her character in Stargate SG1, is a brilliant doctor and scientist who researched and studied the Stargate for years, until she was recruited to SG1, the leading team, to go through the gate (an alien device capable of transferring matter to distant planets) to look for technologies and allies to protect Earth against evil beings in space. Her co-star for the first 8 seasons was none other then Richard Dean Anderson.


    Amanda is married to Alan Kovacs, and their daughter, Olivia B, was born on March 22, 2005.

    Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Robert Picardo graduated from the William Penn Charter School. He entered Yale University as a pre-med student, not knowing that he would someday portray doctors in three separate productions: first as Dr. Dick Richard on the ABC series China Beach, then as Dr. McCaskill in the theater production In The Waiting Room at the Mark Taper Forum, and then as The Doctor on Star Trek: Voyager.
    After graduating from Yale University Robert wanted to be an actor, but his parents weren't supportive. This changed when he sang in Leonard Bernstein's Mass, and Bernstein himself saw Picardo and told him he should pursue being an actor. The young Picardo asked Bernstein to tell that to his parents, which the great composer did, thereby changing their minds. In 1997 he made his Broadway debut in the comedy Gemini with Danny Aiello.

    In the early 1980's he became involved in television, where he soon was nominated for an Emmy award for his role as Mr. Cutlip on the acclaimed series The Wonder Years. Following The Wonder Years he has had much success on television, he starred as Dr. Richard on China Beach and then played The Doctor on Star Trek: Voyager for six seasons. He finished up starring in Stargate Atlantis in 2009 as Richard Woolsey.
    Currently he is starring in various online films for Acme Brand Comedy.

    Bob resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Linda, and their two daughters.

    Jewel was born in White Rock, British Columbia, but her family moved almost immediately to Maui where she lived until she was four. Jewel made her first public appearance while in Maui at the "Maui County Most Beautiful Baby Contest" and has loved the limelight ever since.

    In 1986, Jewel's family moved to her current home town of Vancouver. There she was approached by a Sears representative to appear in a video for the department store. At first she refused because she felt she was being talked down to, but after seeing the clothes that young models got to wear she changed her mind.     Her Firefly co-star Morena Baccarin was the maid of honor at her wedding to Matt Anderson on April 25, 2003.

He also starred in the feature "A Family Thing" with Robert Duvall and James Earl Jones, "White Man's Burden," "True Romance," "One False Move," "Internal Affairs," "Lean on Me" and "The Abyss."

    On television, Beach had a recurring role on NBC's Emmy Award-winning drama "ER," portraying Jeanie Boulet's (Gloria Reuben) husband who had contracted the HIV virus and passed it on to her. Beach also starred opposite Don Cheadle in the cable movie "Rebound," directed by his best friend, Eriq La Salle ("ER"). He has played the nephew to Cicely Tyson's Scrooge in "Ms. Scrooge," a cable network's movie update of Charles Dickens' c "A Christmas Carol," and starred opposite Lela Rochon in the TV movie "The Ruby Bridges Story," a true depiction of desegregation in public schools. He played there a talented guy who solved problems with his scientific knowledge and every object he could find, rather than violence. MacGyver ran for 7 successful seasons. After that he played in several movies, showing variety of talents, such as Drama (Pride of the Marines, and Past the Bleachers), Action (In the Eyes of a Stranger) and Fear (Beyond Betrayal). Anderson is well known today for his 8 year role in Stargate SG1, the continuation of the Stargate Movie, where he played Colonel/Brigadier General Jack O'Neill, humorous commander of an army unit which travels to other planets through a circular ancient device, in order to fight the evil and save Earth and the galaxy. He left in 2004 in order to spend more time with his partner Apryl Prose (they have never married) and their 6 year old daughter Wylie Quinn Annarose Anderson.moreless

    The sixth of seven children, Paul's family emigrated to Canada from Paisley, Scotland when he was just 2 years old. His family spent time in Ireland before moving to Canada and returned to Paisley when Paul was 11 for 3 and a half years. Paul studied both education (major) and theatre (minor) at University, and also got involved in various sports including becoming a freewrestling champion. After graduating the actor began his career teaching theatre in Toronto, but he also found time to attend auditions.

    His theater work includes leading roles in productions such as The Foreigners, Piano, Savage in Limbo, El Salvador, and Reservations for Two. The last one in that list McGillion produced and directed.

    Paul has worked extensively in film, tv and the theatre for the last 15 years, as well as teaching scene study in 1998 & 1999 at the respected Vancouver Film School.moreless
