  • Trivia

    • McKay says that he has two PhD's. They are in Astrophysics and Mechanical Engineering.

    • This marks the first time we see Ronon on Earth. He went there in the Season 3 episode "Sunday", but it was not shown.

    • Jeannie: Remember when we went to West Edmonton Mall and Dad had to call the police to find you?

West Edmonton Mall is a shopping mall in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, built in 1981. It was the world's largest mall from 1981 until 2004. It is now the largest mall in North America. Some of its indoor contents include: A waterpark, an amusement park, an ice-skating rink, 110 eating establishments, a mini-golf course, a 354-room hotel, a shooting range, a casino, a lake with an exact replica of Christopher Columbus's ship: the Santa Maria, and a 13-screen and 6 screen (2 theatres) movie theatre. The mall has over 800 shops and services, and covers over 5.3 million square feet, the same as 104 Canadian football fields (115 American).

    • This episode marks the first time that a Wraith has set foot on Earth.

    • Goof: The IOA would never allow a Wraith to come to Earth. A more workable solution would be to bring Jeannie to Atlantis to work on the nanites.

  • Quotes

    • McKay: I'm really sorry about all of this.
Jeanie: Oh, I'm going to hold this over your head for...forever. Like, you're going to eat a lot of vegetarian food and not complain about it.
      McKay: Sure, sure.
Jeanie: And you're going to read Madison three stories instead of her usual two.
      McKay: Right.
Jeanie: You're gonna buy me a car.
McKay: Let's not get out of control here.
Jeanie: You almost got me killed. That's at least a car, a nice one. A hybrid.

    • Jeanie: Man, medical comas are weird.
McKay: Yeah, you're not the first to mention it.

    • Fuller: You're not Dr. Lee sir.
McKay: Oh, is that Lee's card? You know, we were just at the gym and, uh, must have swapped pants, so, uh, would you just open the door for me?

    • Sheppard: Where you going?
      Ronon: To get some food.
Sheppard: Well in case you forgot, McKay and his sister are still missing.
Ronon: What, and you want my help dissecting corporate structures. When you find someone to point a gun at, you let me know.

    • Kaleb: This is your fault.
      McKay: Hey, just a second.
Kaleb: She got kidnapped because of you.
McKay: Ok, we do not know that for sure.
Kaleb: We don't, really? You figure four masked men with guns broke in here to steal her secret apple dumpling recipe? Jealous neighbor maybe?

    • (Ronon is wearing regular clothes)
      Ronon: I look dumb.
Sheppard: Helps you blend in a little.
Ronon: I'm gonna stand out no matter what you dress me in.
Sheppard: (looks at him) You got a point.

    • Sheppard: Hi, look who's back. How's the family?
McKay: Ah great. Bought them a Prius.
      Sheppard: Guilt.
McKay: Yeah. Listen, I can't believe what you did.
Sheppard: I don't really want to talk about it.
McKay: You talked Wallace into sacrificing himself.
      Sheppard: No, I didn't.
McKay: Well, then how did he?
Sheppard: I...I presented a situation. He volunteered.
McKay: Still, you talked a man into killing himself.
Sheppard: He wanted to make things right. I merely uh...
      McKay: Presented the situation.
      Sheppard: Yeah...
      McKay: Thanks.

    • Wallace: The best doctors in the world have told her to start saying her goodbyes, begin making funeral plans.
      (Jeanie looks at him sympathetically)
McKay: That's what I'm saying – neither of us are doctors. Look, yes, I have a PhD ... two, actually ...

    • McKay: We gotta go back.
      Jeannie: Go back? Why?
McKay: Because I got all mixed around. We gotta start again. Maybe what I thought was north was south. It's hard to tell.
Jeannie: I can not believe I am betting my life on your sense of direction.
McKay: What are you talking about I have an excellence sense of direction.
Jeannie: Oh really? Remember when we went to West Edmonton Mall and Dad had to call the police to find you.
      McKay: That mall is huge!
Jeannie: There are maps every 7 meters!
      McKay: Misleading ones!

    • McKay: What is this a lab?
Jeannie: Wow that's some great detective work there, Nancy Drew.

    • Sheppard: You learn any new information yet?
Barret: The NID is liaising with CSIS on the ground. They are expecting us.
      Sheppard: C what now?
McKay: Canadian Security Intelligence Service. It's kinda like our CIA.
Sheppard: CSIS, that's the best you guys could do huh.

    • Rodney: (To Sheppard) We're about even when it comes to looks, right?
Sheppard: Who's been lying to you?
      Rodney: No, I'm being serious.
Sheppard: I am too. Who's been lying to you?

    • Barrett: We will be out in the open. So we'll have to change your clothes.
(Agent looks pointedly at Ronon in his usual clothes)
      Ronon: Why?

    • Zelenka: I cannot wait here for you to have an epiphany. I'm losing the will to live.
