I was thinking it would be great if they brought the clone of jack back also bring in Samantha daughter (forgot her name.)
It can tie some lose ends with SG1...

Has anyone heard that they are targeting SGU at a younger audience? I'm still a little ticked off at the Stargate producers for shifting cast members like gears in a car on Atlantis, and I don't think I could take more heartbreak. SG1 and SGA were perfect, I fell in love with SG-1 in high school and it's now been 7 years and I still love them, and I know people of all age groups who love SG1. When they said they were aiming at a younger audience visions of 200 came to mind. Here's hoping SGU doesn't become SG90210.

We never really found out, did we? She just fell off the map after a few seasons. Strangely enough, she'd be too old to go to the casting calls for the Universe characters. Oy. I believe that says it all.

Not a good sign if even Cassandra is 'too old'. Oh boy those '90210 cast' fears maybe coming true.

Meh, I don't want the Jack clone back, that wasn't my fav episode anyways. Plus it would just be too weird. Season 7 is pretty the last time Cassandra is even mentioned.(Heroes, Pt II) I can't shake the picture of SGU being like the one scene in '200'

"Ya got those symbols figured out yet wonderbread?"

"Yo, I'm workin' on it, dawg!!!"

Only in SGU it wouldn't be funny...One thing is for sure SGU has got some damn big shoes to fill...

hmmmmmm, is my view on this. I shall need to see it to believe it. I think that SG1 survived so long because of the characters in it, without them I do not believe it could work. Atlantis has made it work, but they have had to bring in SG1 characters to boost figures, we shall see...

I don't think they had to bring in SG-1 characters to boost ratings. They probably brought AT's Carter character to Atlantis since it was the first season Atlantis aired on its own without SG-1 as the lead in show.

I remember a while back on gateworld, I think they said that Amanda Tapping was signed on for season 11 of SG-1 but since that didn't get picked up they decided to put her on Atlantis. Or something along those lines.

Yeah and they gave Amanda season 4 of Atlantis to finish off her contract rather than to try to cancel it or something. Hey for the little amount of air time she got, that must've been a nice deal.

I thought she ws gonna run Atlantis. They should have an international crew on Universe. Kind of what Atlantis did. That always seems to work.A British character would be cool.. as would a Russian. Hey heres a crazy idea what a bout a Latino.

She would have ran Atlantis for season 5, but since her show Sanctuary was picked up by Sci-Fi, she left to star in her show and then they needed to bring in a replacement for her. So Amanda Tapping chose to leave on her own.

The beginning of season 4 'Adrift' they had a Chinese guy [technician or some role], and an Indian doctor. I would've thought maybe they would be more in the background as well. But it seems after that episode they were forgotten.

There was a British character, or at least his accent in season 1 - Grodon I think, but he died in that satellite in 'Seige part 1'. Zelenka replaced him as the scientist. I don't remember if McKay was the lead scientist or if Grodon was, but I don't think McKay ever criticized Grodon as much as he does to Zelenka.
