Trivia: A recommendation from an SG team commander is required in order to be assigned to an SG team.
The door to Carter's lab changes from B-4 to B-3.
(security camera shows Daniel in Hammond's office chair)
Elliott: It looks like their leader is Dr. Jackson.
Jack: I always knew he wanted that office.
Sam: Sir, if you don't mind, your wound is bleeding all over my lab.
Sam: And then there's Hailey.
Jack: Oh yeah! 4'9" fighting machine!
Jack: What's your excuse?
Satterfield: I didn't believe Dr. Jackson was a Goa'uld.
Sam: Why not, Satterfield?
Satterfield: I don't know, Ma'am. That was just my instinct.
Haley: She thinks he's cute.
(discussing the team exercise)
Sam: I think (Lt. Elliot) was getting the benefit of the doubt.
Jack: I think he was tapdancing..
Sam: Grogan. He'll make a fine addition to an SG team one day.
Jack: He'll make a fine target.
Jack: They're the future of the Air Force, the program, the entire planet... God help us!
Sam: Try to remember when you were in their shoes.
Jack: I wore boots.
Sam: Think back to when you were their age.
Jack: I was never their age.
Daniel: (talking to Jack on the phone) You did tell them to take me prisoner and not shoot me this time. Right? Hello...?
Jack: I like people with attitude. In fact, I much prefer them to people who suck up.
Jack: Lieutenant, you have to think fast. These, and other clichés, will be available to you for one more day of training.
The training ground warehouse (Port Mann power station) has previously been used by the production for Watergate and Beneath the Surface.
When they finished shooting this episode and it was edited together, the director and the producers discovered it was slightly too short. To solve the problem, the scene in which O'Neill and Carter are eating in the mess hall discussing the recruits was written and added.
