In the temple scenes, there is a beam of sunlight coming from the ceiling, above the entrance. However, when an overhead shot of the temple is shown, the entire temple is covered with sand and there is no window visible.
T'ealc: (on phone while fishing with Jack) If you require assistance I would be more than happy to return to the SGC.
Daniel: No, thanks, I think I can take it from here.
T'ealc: (lowers voice) Are you certain?
Jack: Give me that!
Fraiser: (after Daniel's tortured by a G'aould mind ray) Are you all right?
Daniel: Oh yeah. Yeah, I think I'm getting used to that thing.
Jack: Carter! You finally ready to take me up on that fishing trip?
Sam: Er... actually, sir, I have a few projects on the go.
Jack: Come on. Are you really trying to tell me you'd rather work in a dark, dank, dismal underground than sit on a dock with your feet perched up, sippin' a cold one, and casting for that ever elusive... crappie?
Sam: Strange as it may sound, sir, yes. Have a good time.
(Sam walks out)
Jack: To each his own! Her! I meant her... I think.
Jack: Just so we're clear on this, sir. It's going to be me, Teal'c, and the Great Outdoors! That means no cell phones, no fax machines, not another living soul for miles! We'll be unavailable. Inaccessible.
Jack: Minnesota, sir.
Hammond: I stand corrected.
Jack: If there's an emergency back at the base, you'd better plan ahead and tell me now. If Thor needs me...he's going to have to beam me up. If the Tok'ra...forget it!
Sarah: It's like you fell off the face of the earth.
Daniel: Yeah, it's a little like that, isn't it...
Hammond: You're all long overdue for some personal leave.
Jack: Yes, well, the leaving part has been a problem.
Hammond: Oh, I think you'll make it to the front door before we realise we can't do without you. Dismissed.
Teal'c: We have caught nothing. We are fishing.
Teal'c: There appears to be no fish here, O'Neill.
Jack: "T"... it's not about the actual fish themselves...
Osiris: Make no mistake, Osiris will return. And all the rivers of Earth will run red with blood.
Daniel: The world is not ready to know.
Sarah: I'm not asking you to tell the world - just me.
Steven: The last time I saw you, you were giving a lecture to an empty room.
Daniel: Well, it was full when I started...
Sarah Gardner's surname is not stated in this episode (although it is in the script) but is later revealed in "The Fifth Man".
Michael Shanks pulls the tabloid paper away from Jack, like James Spader pulls the paper away from the guard in Stargate: The Movie.
Syndication airdate: January 14, 2002.
Writer Joseph Mallozzi told fans the following in an online chat: "Well, I know the producers like to drop in their own personal references every once in a while. For Brad [Wright] it's The Wizard of Oz. My reference pops up in 'The Curse,' but I'd be surprised if anyone noticed. Check out the episode and note the last names that pop up. Professor Jordan. The Stewart Expedition. Sarah Gardner. Steven Rayner. I'm a huge Green Lantern fan."
When Daniel Jackson is scanning various artifacts for Gou'ld technology he's using a black and yellow device that looks remarkably similar to a Garmin Etrex GPS unit. The same unit is actually being used as a GPS when Carter, Fraiser and Jackson are in a Landrover crossing the desert for the Egyptian ruins.
