  • Fifth member of SG-1 about who noone has heard... intriguing..

    8.2
This episode starts without any too stunning thing.. but on the moment it is realized that there is no fifth member and O'Neill is still there and they cannot get back - the twist.. it changes all. Now the excitement and that kind of strugle as the man who is investigating them and digging out all the dirt they have in their past - it really gives so slim hope for O'Neill but he manages to survive.

And when the team can go back - we will have very action-packed ending with a lot of Goa'uld lightning and I would say .. a good end.moreless
  • good episode...

    9.0
Carter, Teal'c, and Daniel arrive at the SGC claiming that they have to back off-world to save O'Neill and a man named Tyler. THere is no such person as Tyler...hmmm...Anyways, it apparently was an alien and they save him and he goes home and SG-1 goes home too. I really liked this episode because it brought something new. The alien gave off some kind of powder that made everyone believe that he was one of them. That's interesting. The alien started feeling guilty when O'Neill was most likely going to die for him. I was touching and interesting. There were many good action scenes and the story was great. Overall, great episode.moreless
  • Almost an alternate reality, but with a twist. (spoilers)

    8.3
SG-1 goes off-world and run into a bunch of Jaffa. Only Daniel, Sam and Teal'c make it back through the stargate. They report to General Hammond that Col. O'Neill and Lt. Tyler were stranded and request backup to return. Gen. Hammond says he has never heard of Lt. Tyler and had the team quarantined. While O'Neill is trying to save Lt. Tyler, the rest of the team is trying to plead their case. Meanwhile, Simmons is poking around investigating trying to shut down the program or at least stop SG-1. Doctor Frasier figures out what happened to the team when she is exposed to a spore-like substance. Sam, Teal'c and Daniel return to the planet to rescue Col. O'Neill and tell him Lt. Tyler is not who he said, but he already knew that. Lt. Tyler is really an alien that can make others see him as their own kind. He chose his name from a package that was made in Tyler, Texas. Lt. Tyler almost dies trying to help SG-1 get past the Jaffa and off the planet when the team comes to his rescue again. A really good episode.moreless
  • Good episode...

    6.9
i think that this was a good epiosde but definetly not the best i've seen. i like how in the old sg1 they always went to a new planet not knowing what they were going to encounter. this epiosde was about a alien named the Reol. this is the only epiosde that we hear of them because they are starting a colony on another planet and plan to bury their gate.Lt Tyler was actually a Reol and their was no files of him on the base, so they thought sg1 had been taken over by some alien, but there was nothing wrong with tham. it was not a bad ep.later.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (4)

    • This is the fourth of Dion Johnstone's seven appearances on Stargate. With the exception of Chaka, he has never played a character twice.

    • Right after the scene where Lt. Tyler shoots Daniel with the zat gun, they show the briefing room in the SGC, if you look closely, you can see the studio lights on the ceiling in the gate room.

    • When SG-1 returned from P7S-441, General Hammond's skill badges were in the wrong order. The Command pilot wings were on the bottom and the Space and Missile badge was on top. But in every other episode the Pilot wings are on top and the Space & Missile badge is on the bottom.

    • When O'Neill rigs a grenade with a trip-wire as a trap, he's breaking the rules of armed combat. (Not that it matters when fighting Jaffa, but on Earth it's illegal.)

  • QUOTES (6)

    • Teal'c: I am loyal to the Tau'ri.
Simmons: Why should I believe you?
Teal'c: If I were still loyal to the Goa'uld, you would know it.
      Simmons: Really?
Teal'c: It would be immediately apparent, as I would not hesitate to kill you where you sit.

    • Daniel: This is a waste of time.
Simmons: This isn't a waste of time. This is an official investigation.
Daniel: Oh, no, I mean, I get it. We obviously have Lt. Tyler issues. I say he exists, you say he doesn't.
Simmons: This isn't just about Lt. Tyler.
      Daniel: Someone else doesn't exist?

    • Jack: Well, I wasn't gonna let you die, Lieutenant. It's, like, a ton of paperwork.
      Tyler: Paperwork?
Jack: It's a joke. My way of deflecting the tension from my own obvious heroism. You'll get used to it.
      Tyler: Oh, right. I understand.
      Jack: ...Right.

    • Sam: Daniel.
      Daniel: (recovering consciousness) Ah...
      Jack: Hey, where's Tyler?
Daniel: You know I would have asked him but I was too busy being unconscious after he shot me with that zat you gave him, so...

    • Jack: Do you know what the Goa'uld really want from us? Minnesota, that's what! For fishing mostly. I'll take you some time.
      Tyler: Fishing?
Jack: Oh yeah, ask Teal'c - he can't get enough!

    • Jack: Daniel, stay with... What is your name anyway?
      Tyler: Chayayeeyaye.
Jack: ...? Ok, Daniel, you stay with Ch... Tyler.
