Trivia: This is the first appearance of the Asgard.
Trivia: This is the first appearance of a System Lord (Heru-ur) other than Apophis on the series.
Trivia: We find out that Daniel is afraid of heights.
At the beginning of the episode when the Stargate was engaging, the officer stated that there was no IDC signal coming though, yet the wormhole had not yet engaged. How can a radio signal come though then?
Textually, the runes Daniel was reading translate to: joy, luck, horse, riding. He translates the runes as: protective power, fate, horse, wagon/chariot.
Carter says, "Pi is the formula for finding the circumference of a circle by measuring the radius." Pi is not actually a formula; it is a mathematical constant which is used in many formulas. It is most easily defined as the ratio of the circumference of a circle to the diameter (i.e, twice the radius) of that circle.
The numeric values for the symbols that Daniel translates are wrong. He translates them as 3, 14, 15, and 9. They are 3, 13, 19, and 5. Not quite Pi but close. Pi is 3.14159 on Earth - maybe the Asgard know something we don't.
The area around the gate on Cimmeria had trees but in "Thor's Hammer", there were no trees.
Daniel: (after seeing the first test) I don't suppose this is the best time to bring up my problem with heights?
Jack: Umm, you all know I take great pride in my title of 'Mr. Positive.' However, we did destroy [the Asgards] de-Goa'ulding thing. Might not they look unkindly on that?
(investigating a statue)
Daniel: This is the Hall of Might?
Gairwyn: You were expecting something different?
Daniel: Well... uh... maybe a hall?
Teal'c: Things will not calm down, Daniel Jackson; they will in fact calm up!
Teal'c: The destruction of the hammer device to save my life may have caused this. If so, I am responsible.
Jack: General, I gave the order.
Daniel: And I fired the staff at the machine.
Carter: And...I was there...
It takes up to six crew members to make an Asgard puppet move in a realistic way.
