Stargate SG-1

Syfy (ended 2008)

  • Season 9 Episode 15: Ethon

  • When Carter and Cpt. Marks argue about who gets to leave and who has to stay behind and finish tying the naquadah generator into Prometheus' power systems, the generator's main control switch changes from "ON" to "OFF" between cuts.

  • When Jarrod comes through the gate it shuts down, but the Chevrons stay lit.

  • Season 9 Episode 14: Stronghold

  • After the Stargate opens, Bra'tac makes his attack run, then we switch to Stargate Command and Bra'tac telling them to go through the (already active) Stargate. In between those two scenes, however, we get a distance shot of the Stargate and while it's at a sharp angle, you can clearly see right through the Stargate, as though it were shut down.

  • Why can't they use Asgard technology to beam the piece of shrapnel out of Major Ferguson's head? Or if they took it out in the usual way, Carter could at least try to heal any damage using the Goa'uld healing device. Alternatively, they could consider offering him to become a host for a Tokra symbiote, especially if Ferguson was even better qualified than Mitchell.

  • When Landry is talking to Mitchell (when Mitchell is in the hospital) he is just talking openly about all matters considering the Stargate "world". This is an un-secure line, and with loads of people surely digging to uncover what happens in Cheyenne, this just seems a bit too relaxed.

  • Season 9 Episode 13: Ripple Effect

  • When SG-2 team "shoves" Mitchell onto the flight deck of the Prometheus, Sam-2 is missing from the right-hand seat. The view is to the right of the right-hand seat, so it is clear that Sam-2 is missing. Then in the next scene as Sam turns to look at Sam-2, suddenly Sam-2 is back in the shot.

  • Trivia: One of the alternate SG-1 teams had Cameron Mitchell leading a team with three Sodan warriors. They are wearing the armbands from the episode "Upgrades."

  • Trivia: When Dr. Lee is telling Carter about the point of convergence, an alternate Carter is seen behind him eating blue jell-o and wearing glasses. This Carter is similar to the one in the Season 8 episode; "Moebius," where SG-1 alters the timeline attempting to get a ZPM.

  • Carter states that gate travel is on average 0.3 seconds. However, the shortest gate travel visuals have been a few seconds at the least, and when they've tracked an object's movements through the wormhole, it took much longer than 0.3 seconds.

  • Differences in the universes
Bra'tac is the leader of the Jaffa
Carter is married and pregnant in at least one of them.
The Ori created a second beachhead, then destroyed most of the Jaffa strongholds.

  • Why did everyone in the control room look so shocked when the second alternate SG-1 walked through the gate, especially after hearing alternate Mitchell-2 on the radio?

  • Why didn't anyone react to the fact that the alternate SG-1 was wearing completely different uniforms (complete with the SGC insignia) from what they were wearing when they left for the mission when they first stepped through the gate (and afterwards)?

  • Season 9 Episode 12: Collateral Damage

  • Trivia: No Stargate is seen in this episode.

  • Season 9 Episode 11: The Fourth Horseman (2)

  • Trivia: General Hammond's uncle was a wedding planner. He apparently used to always say "Things are darkest just before the dawn."

  • The virus spread geographically throughout the world. The "vaccine" would have to be administered it seems to at least 30-40% of the people in the various countries it was exposed to and finding all carriers of the virus is realistically impossible. That means the vaccine would have to be administered to roughly 20% of the world's population and eventually to the entire world population. Unless the process to create the vaccine was simple (which the show indicated it was not), it would be essentially impossible to carry out the vaccine adminsitration in the amount of time the show suggested.

  • Lam claims that they were able to come up with a vaccine using the blood of people that were cured by Gerak as well as Orlin's work, and used the vaccine to cure people infected by the Prior plague. This is incorrect due to the fact that a vaccine can not cure a person affected by a disease, it can only prevent the person from getting the disease.

  • Trivia: In this episode, the character Gerak says "I die free" right before he cures the people in the SGC infirmary. In the season 2 episode "The Serpent's Lair," Bra'tac said these same words when he betrayed Klorel, and Klorel was using a hand weapon on Bra'tac. Teal'c also says those words when Apophis was about to kill him in the season 1 episode "The Nox."

  • Season 9 Episode 10: The Fourth Horseman (1)

  • Trivia: Dark Pariah, the heavy metal group whose CD Dr. Lee was playing in the lab, is a fictional group.

  • Season 9 Episode 9: Prototype

  • Carter says that it will take Prometheus two weeks to reach the planet, but in "Ripple Effect" the alternate Mitchell says it will only take three weeks to reach Atlantis, in an entirely different galaxy. Given the intergalactic gate bridge needs 38 Stargates to span the distance between galaxies, a relatively shorter journey to a planet inside the Milky Way should take mere hours, not weeks.

  • Carter repeats the myth that a normal human being only uses 5-10% of their brain. This has long been proven false. Carter as a scientist should know better than to believe this common misconception.
