  • Majorly disappointed...

    1.0
... about the plot resolution from "lost". I dont get how they build up a story with loosing three members of the crew (which seemed like a really good idea!) but then they close it up like nothing. Chloe, Eli, and Scott just returning through the gate like nothing happened... and after just one episode. You could have made a really good story over a whole season out of this, but the actual conclusion was extremly disappointing and just boring.

I'll have to say: Stargate, get back to the roots or i will not watch a second season!

SG1 an Atlantis were great shows and i hate to see universe beeing such a shame....moreless
  • Disappointing. Some spoilers in the review but you'll still be upset even if you dont read.

I know this is SciFi and like the other Stargate series unrealistic things happen all the time but just wow at the return of Chloe, Eli, and Scott. The previous episode was all about them getting lost and stranded with very little hope and then in this episode we get maybe 10 seconds of their miracle return? They literally just show up through the gate at some point in the episode. And how exactly did they get back? To be honest I forgot what he said, but we weren't shown how they got back. We got a description from Eli which he explained in about one sentence. For a while there I seriously doubted it was them and they could have been alien impostors but now I think that the writers are too lazy for that.

Stupid writing. They could make this show much better. They've shown us what they can do with SG1 and Atlantis why are they seemingly doing so poorly with this type of stuff?moreless
  • An Entertaining episode with several interlacing threads interwind to create a really good episode... one of the best episodes of the series.

    8.5
An Entertaining episode! So much seemed to happen in this episode that I noticed myself grabing for the Sky remote to forward the adverts with anticipation.

I'm not a fan of the body swapping as it's normally quite boring - can take only so much of missed loved ones - but the body swap in this episode was topical and created several interesting questions. It also created some very convincing emotional scenes for Carlyle and Ming-na in there respective storylines.

The finale was slightly rushed but still created some excitement, leaving a mysterious cliffhanger.

Don't know who does the FX but some of the spaces scenes are quite beautiful.

Pet Peeve: the three missing crew turned up rather easily...moreless
  • SGU Needs To Step On The Gas A Little.

    7.5
Yes we need character building, but please give us some action too. It all feels like a bottle episode to save some cash up for the next big bangs.

We get it, again, Rush isn't all bad. While the stuff with Rush working and almost falling for his now-not disabled colleague explored a few interesting issues, the flip-side with Camille back on Earth really just bored. The stones need to be reduced or just phased out somehow - they kill all the tension. Never mind the fact that they should be used around the clock to ship in scientists of every kind to work with Rush on solving the issues with Destiny - isn't the SGC full of people who could be more help than half of the dead wood Destiny seems to be carrying?

After hoping the loss of Eli's group might give us some cool planet-hopping adventures until they got back (as I'm sure we all knew they eventually would,) instead there's a convenient break-down (sorry, sabotage) that drops them out of FTL and allows them back on board. Pretty annoying after solving the Rush issue just as simply.

Despite these gripes, we get some movement on a few of the slow burning questions like trying out the robots and what happened to the guy who sat in the chair first (I forget his name). Plus the return of the aliens, if only for a few moments.moreless
  • Quite nice one

    8.8
I am not even sure, but I think I quite liked it. It had something shocking, interesting, some nice char interactions.

I think most controversals were Camille's and that scientist body swamping and she, first time over long time, being able to live. And Camille back in disabled body and back Earth.. that was probably great.. I mean, that other woman coping with all that, taking care, baring it.. I mean.. she would not look like Camille.. I think there is lot to think.

But the whole thing back on Destiny with Franklin.. He coming out of where ever he was and knowing what to do when they were under attack and needed to get away on the right moment.

And some great acting by that brilliant scientist part. So.. overall, it felt good.moreless
