Episode Summary

EDIT
The Hypnotist
AIRED:
Henry scoffs at Ian's story about a guy being hypnotized into believing he committed a crime he didn't, claiming it's ridiculous. Ian, however, professes to be a hypnotic expert, and swears it could definitely happen. In an effort to kill two birds with one stone, Maddie asks Ian to prove it to Henry by hypnotizing her into enjoying the taste of lobster, since her date promised to cook it for her, and she can't stand seafood. Ian proves it to Henry alright. But when Ian's hypnotic powers turn out greater than even he imagined, Jake and Tess fall under his spell too. Soon, Ian's diabolical attempts to play William Shakespeare with them render the situation more tragedy than comedy.moreless

  • The Hypnotist is the best episode they did. My wife and I miss this show very much. If anyone knows where I can find a download on the net of all the episodes, I would love to see them again.moreless

In my opinion, this was one of the best episodes they had done. I was very disappointed when they pulled this show.

My wife and I still use the phrase "nothing from the sea" often. It still makes us laugh. I'm not sure why they pulled this series prior to it finishing out its first year. I thought the characters were very strong and the premise was great.

All the episodes were funny, but this one in particular tickled my funny bone.

There was also a halloween episode, I believe, where Tony Shalhoub and Neil Patrick Harris were trying to scare Maddie by setting up a haunted house in the apartment. EXTREMELY funny.moreless
