      • David Soul (Hutch) was injured in a skiing accident prior to the filming of this episode, and his bruises had to be covered with make-up. The next few episodes were adapted accordingly to work around his injuries. The injury would lead to him having to wear a back brace, making him seem a bit tubbier in the fourth season with it under his clothes.

      • The second of five episodes of the series to be directed by Paul Michael Glaser, the first of two this season (the other being 'Deckwatch' at the end of the season). Again as a result, Hutch is more prominent in the story than Starsky, freeing up Glaser to concentrate more on the directing.

      • Antonio Fargas (Huggy Bear) does not appear in this episode.
