    • Trivia

      ADD TRIVIA
      • On Voodoo Island the police chief's office is the same set used for Captain Dobey's office with a little redecoration. The desk is the exactly the same as Dobey's desk even in the same position in the room and there are the 3 doors to the room, two entrances and a closet which on Voodoo Island is disguised with coat hooks on it. They added a ceiling fan for the island look. Edit
      • The exterior of the bar, The Jungle Room, is used often in the show but the interior and style of restaurant/bar is different. It has been a go go joint, a restaurant and a bar. Edit
      • In the shot of the Torino pulling up opposite the bar at the very beginning of the story, Starsky and Hutch are noticeably wearing different clothes when they get out of the car to when we see them inside the bar. The reason is because it's actually a shot recycled from the first season episode 'The Bounty Hunter'. The shot is passable for Starsky, wearing a similar jacket, but Hutch's white-sleeved baseball jacket is eye-catchingly different to the jacket we see him wearing inside the bar. Edit

      ADD NOTES
      • In the United Kingdom, a repeat of this story was the most watched episode of the series in 1980, clocking up 14.4 million viewers when it was broadcast on Friday 3rd December (9:25 p.m., BBC 1). (It's not clear whether this was in feature-length version or was one of the two parts.) Edit
      • Huggy's racket: Not a racket as such, but we do see Huggy blending in with the local culture, including becoming a (very bad) taxi driver. Edit
      • Much of this story was filmed on the Hawaiian island of Kauai. Edit
