      • Starsky receives a message to meet Huggy Bear at a bar called 'The Pits', Huggy would take over running this bar in the third season episode "The Collector". Edit
      • This episode contains the first shot of the exterior of the Venice Place apartment block--Hutch's new digs. Edit
      • In the previous episode, "The Set-Up", the Gran Torino was wrecked by a bomb; yet in this episode, it is mysteriously back, without any word of explanation given. Edit
    • Notes

      ADD NOTES
      • For this episode, David Soul stayed on the set for long periods of time in the hot sun and lying in the same downward angle position Hutch was supposed to be trapped in. David often tried to capture realism in the series. In the episode The Fix he put drops in his eyes so they would get irritated and did not sleep for days. Edit
      • When Hutch is delivering the money the the bad guys at the beginning of the episode, it is very obviuos when his stuntman (Gary Epper) is on screen vs. David Soul. Look for the scene when Hutch is punched in the face and his sunglasses fly off. Edit
      • After Paul Michael Glaser (Starsky) directed his first episode of the series a few stories earlier in 'Bloodbath', here David Soul (Hutch) makes his directorial debut for the series, with this classic, rather haunting episode. Soul would direct five episodes of the series in total; of those five, many fans consider this to be his best work. Edit
