Awesome! how virgil was to deal with boom and convince mirage not to listen to her brother. Not to mention that his sister nearly found out that he was Static when she felt his plate burned, static was in their neighbourhood then vanished and others. Great show i put it in the total classic about family identities and hilarious how Sharon acted when she found out static was following the police and virgil was with her and Richie. But it might have been a perfect moment to accept that he was static coz Sharon wasn't in that frenzy in the episode ,"Kidnapped". Still SUPER show!moreless

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • Slipstream and Replay are mentioned briefly in this episode, as the news reporter ask Static who could have attacked the nightclub.

    • One of the women in the Raj Mahal(she's got a red ponytail and is wearing a fuschia dress) has been seen in Dakota Union High in earlier episodes. But if the club is 21+, how'd she get in?

    • Considering the fact that Boom's sonic blasts can destroy the cops' advanced weapons in a shot that covers a large area, how did the guard at the club survive the blast he took directly in the chest? (Reply: Boom is able to control the power of his sound-blasts, like the volume knob on a stereo.)

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Mirage: Static was right; You have changed!
Boom: Who are you gonna believe: Your own brother, or some flying freak?
Static: Uh, Alex, I'll take "flying freak" for two hundred dollars!

    • Sharon: Virgil, stay close.
Virgil: Any closer, and we'd be wearing the same pair of pants.

    • Richie: You told her we were doing homework? On a Friday night?
Static: Think she won't believe me?
Richie: No, she will, which doesn't say much for our social lives.

    • Richie: Wrong way, Sharon.
      Sharon: Richie, let go.
Richie: Shar, it's dangerous in here.
Sharon: You want dangerous? Touch me again. I'll show you dangerous.

  • NOTES (3)

    • This was the last episode to air before Cartoon Network seized airing this show in their two hour "Miguzi" block.

    • Sharon figures out that Virgil is Static in this episode, but thanks to Mirage's projection of Static following the police while she was talking to Virgil, she thinks they are two different people.

    • Boom is a re-designed Boom-Box, one of Static's myriad comic enemies. Boom-Box didn't have a speaker in his chest, but he could create and control sound as a weapon.

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • Static: Uh, Alex, I'll take "flying freak" for two hundred dollars!
A reference to the gameshow "Jeopardy" and it's host, Alex Trebek.
