When Virgil shows Daisy the janitor's closet in the end, her undershirt turns yellow in the close-up.
Alva lands in the electricity-charged pool and lives through it. He should have died from being shocked.
Daisy's T-shirt changes from white to yellow in the end of the episode.
Virgil: (To Specs and Trapper) A question? About the bionic eye. Brown, green and baby blue.
(The twins laugh)
Duncan: We get that one.
(After the giant robot falls into a swimming pool)
Static: Look the water's all heated.
(Throws Alva into the pool)
Static: Nice form, Alva. I give it a 9.5.
Static: Back off, boys, or your credit card (Alva) goes.
Static: I was in the hood, thought I pop in. What's the matter? Not enjoying the show?
(While being chased by a giant robot and notices it's his creation)
Static: The bionic eye?! Some guy. I'm chasing my own self!
Static: You're punch is lunch, Mr. Roboto.
Richie:(to Virgil, about Daisy)I don't think its her math skills that get you.
Alva: I give you a simple assignment: Bring me Static! And you failed!
Specs: Only by the narrowest of margins, sir.
Static: (about the robot) It must be covered in some kind of ceramic.
Daisy: What are you going to do?
Static: Hey, this superhero thing is kind of a learn-as-you-go deal.
Daisy: There are these kids, Static. They're after you.
Static: Well, who isn't? I'm a popular guy.
Daisy: You've heard of teachers' pets? Specs and Trapper are Alva's pets.
Virgil: Hmm. I'd rather have hamsters.
This marks the first appearance of Specs, Trapper, and Daisy.
This episode along with "Shock To The System", "Aftershock", "The Breed", "Grounded" and "They're Playing My Song" was released on DVD as Static Shock: The New Kid. The DVD is also available on Mini-DVD.
As of this episode, Virgil's crush on Frieda is over. He now has a crush on Daisy.
From this point on, Virgil and Richie hang out with Daisy more often than Freida.
In the comic book, Daisy attended Virgil's school until her grandmother died and she had moved out of the school district. Static #25 (the only Milestone Comic to have its cover censored by DC Comics).
Holy Terminator!
This may be a reference to the Batman and Robin series, where Robin would call out odd comments preceded by the word "Holy."
Bond Villains: Mr. Kidd and Mr. Wint.
The way Specs and Trapper talk to each other is based upon the conversations of the James Bond villains Mr. Kidd and Mr. Wint from the movie Diamonds Are Forever.
Virgil: Is this a classroom or the starship Enterprise?
Reference to the classic sci-fi series Star Trek, which provided fans with an inspiring look into the far future, particularly in terms of technology.
Static: Holy Terminator!
The Terminator is a futuristic cyborg who kills (or terminates) those other robots that wreak havoc or destruction.
