  • This episodes is very funny because of Cody and his bizarres mouvements. It is an espacially story. All the other stories are more slow and the people there are more glad. That's my opinion.moreless

    10
This was my favorite episode of Step By Step, Al gets a little bit of help from Steve Urkel and she goes to the dance with him and they make a cute couple, and I love the part when the guy who dumped Al decide to dance with her and she saids to him "Take a hike Moonface, and the crowd goes wild when she said that and I love part when Al and Steve and the rest of the kids do The Urkel Dance, that was funny and Al love it, I get this episode a 10:). And, I thought Al looked beautiful in her dress.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • From this episode to episode 22, the kitchen cabinets are now a lighter blue instead of dark blue like the pilot episode. The stairs are in its usual position until the end of the series.

  • QUOTES (11)

    • Al: Even if I did go to the dance who can I ask to go with me?
Al: (Trying to figure out who she can go with on short notice) You?
Steve: Well, let me check my schedule. (pulls out book). 8 o'clock, nothing. 9 o'clock, nothing. 10 o'clock, nothing. Yep, I'm free!
      Al: Great, I'll go change!
Steve: Let's see... a girl in Chicago.... A girl in Port Washington. Steve, you are one bad dude!

    • Roger: So, Al, would you like to dance with me?
Al: Gee, Roger, I have only one thing to say to you, "Take a hike moonface"!

    • Steve: I heard about you and Roger. You know, you shouldn't let it bother you.
Al: Here we go again. I am sick of getting advice about being dumped from people who've never been dumped.
Steve (long pause): Are you kidding? Why, being dumped is my career. If there was a 'Being Dumped Hall of Fame' I'd be elected on the first ballot.

    • Frank: I talked to her. I said, "Hi Al. How's it going?" And she said, "Fine."
Carol: (mocking voice) Oh, gee, Frank. How'd you ever get her to open up like that?

    • Steve: I think your parents are great. Why, I crashed your picnic table, sat in your potato salad, and they just hosed me down and said, "Pull up a chair."
Mark: That's true. Not many families would do that.
Steve: Well, certainly not mine. Of course, they do hose me down occasionally.

    • Frank: Wow! Animal crackers!

    • Frank: You better talk to J.T.
Dana: Frank, I mean no disrespect to your children, but... J.T. is a pea-brained moron.

    • Steve: Let's see... a girl in Chicago... A girl in Port Washington. Steve, you are one bad dude!

    • Steve: Let's get down. Let's get funky. Let's boogie till they call the cops!

    • Al (Trying to figure out who she can go with on short notice): You?
Steve: Well, let me check my schedule. (Pulls out book). 8 o'clock, nothing. 9 o'clock, nothing. 10 o'clock, nothing. Yep, I'm free!

    • Frank: Al, you decided to come!
Al: You gave me good advice, dad. Steve helped me to see that.
Steve: Well, actually, Al just had the good sense to listen to my good sense about your good sense. Am I making any sense?

  • NOTES (2)

    • At the school dance, Steve Urkel leads Al and some other students in line dancing to his song "Do the Urkel" as he did in Family Matters in Season 2, Episode 40: "Life of the Party".

    • This crossed over from episode 49 of Family Matters, "Brain over Brawn", which aired the same day this episode did and prior to this show. It began with Steve Urkel, after flying over downtown Chicago, landing in Port Washington, Wisc., on the Foster/Lambert picnic table while they are having a barbecue.
