  • Richard Schwarzton alcolholism brings him to Kingdom Hospital along with a sick lawyer.

At the beginning of this episode, Johnny B. Goode is referenced outside the hospital for the first and only time at a jury selection. He doesn't show up so we don't get to see him. While there, one of the jurors tells the judge about the doings of the defense lawyer Sheldon Fleischer. Her words cause him to have a heart attack and be brought to Kingdom Hospital. After being set on fire in the previous episode, Rolf Pederson is moved out of Peter's room and into a room with Fleischer. He sees Pederson as a chance for a heart transplant, which is the thing he really needs to get better. Richard Schwarzton becomes Peter's new roommate. During this episode, staff members talk about how the Robins are in the World Series for the first time in many years. They must be from Maine. Peter wakes up and shows signs of consciousness by drawing a picture that brings Nat Rickman and Mrs. Druse together. Bobby Druse attempts to gain access to Medical Records. For some reason, Blondie, Otto's dog, is able to pass into the ghost hospital. Elmer's prank mistake will be discovered by another staff member. It also appears, from the doctor's meeting, that Dr. Stegman is a little crazy.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • Trivia; Janis McManus, another maintenance worker, tells Dr. Stegman that Johnny B. Goode is out of the hospital on jury duty.

    • Trivia: This episode makes note of the 1987 World Series, foreshadowing what will happen in the episode "Butterfingers."

    • When the body is walking around after it finishes its shower, but before it realizes the head is gone, you can see the outline of the actor's invisible head against the background.

  • QUOTES (10)

    • Dr. Havens: The law of the living is to take. The law of the dead is to give.

    • (Danny is working on Sheldon Fleischer while Ollie drives)
Danny: Check the scars. It looks like he had an Aztec for a thoracic surgeon.
Ollie: Hey, are his eyes open?
Danny: You're the one who needs to keep your eyes open. One false move and this guy'll sue us both. You heard the court clerk. This guy's a personal injury lawyer.
Ollie: Ohh. King of torts, huh? Yeah, well, this time he ain't exactly, uh, chasing the ambulance, is he?

    • James: A positive attitude is so important, Steg.
Stegman: Yeah. A popular notion. I've seen no reliable data to support it.

    • Hook: Sometimes reading tea leaves and tarot cards will get you a prognosis every bit as reliable as reading radiology films.

    • Peter: (thinking) You know, this is sort of interesting. I never had to think about how to talk before. I just...did it.

    • (about Schwarzton and the earthquakes)
Stegman: So, he's not gonna solve the problem. He's just going to prove that they weren't created by ghosts? Is the board stocked entirely with imbeciles?

    • Dispatcher: Code Four in progress at the courthouse. A lawyer in v-fib.
Brick: A fibbing lawyer. Sounds perfectly normal to me.

    • Massingale: Dr. Schwarzton, are you a medical doctor, sir?
Schwarzton: Ph.D. I'm a seismologist. I study earthquakes. Probably why I shake so much. Earthquakes will do that to you.

    • (Sheldon Fleischer is hallucinating while Hook treats him)
Hook: Twenty milligrams of Nabisco Frosted Mini Wheats IV push, five cc's coronary antifreeze. Fifty units Formula 409 STP oil treatment and WB-40, stat. A portable chest death ray, a sterile claw hammer and ten milligrams napalm and nitroglycerin in a per saline drip, and a spoonful of sugar to help the medicine go down.

    • Janice McManus: Thou shalt not kill a tattooed white lab rat.

  • NOTES (4)

    • Hook: ...and a spoonful of sugar to help the medicine go down!!!
A quick and funny line from the famous Disney musical/movie Mary Poppins.
