After the Reverend Jimmy Criss is crucified on a fence in an alley, a series of miracles occur in the surrounding area. The circumstances of the miracles are obviously referencing the miracles and death of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. While these things occur, Dr. Massingale, Dr. Havens and Otto are trapped in a collapsed room at the hospital. It is funny to see them playing rock, paper, scissors while all the excitement is happening outside. Then, on the third day after the death of Reverend Jimmy, he rises from the dead just like Jesus. Later, the doctors bring the sheet that he was lying on, which has a blood pattern on it. This is a reference to the Shroud of Turan, the supposed burial cloth of Jesus. When Dr. Hook comes out of the hospital and does the Keepers sign to Dr. Stegman, I think that he is letting Stegman know, in his own way, that he is going to pay for what he did. This episode is the only one to be written by both Stephen and Tabitha King. More Bible references can be seen in the next episode.moreless
