The WB (ended 2005)

Show Summary

  • Ended
Multi-talented, award-winning comedian Steve Harvey (The Steve Harvey Show, The Original Kings of Comedy) and Emmy Award-winning executive producer Madeleine Smithberg (Late Night with David Letterman, The Daily Show) return to The WB for a second season with an expanded one-hour comedy/variety show designed once again to showcase Mr. Harvey's unique talents and uncanny ability to bring out the very best - and the very funny - in regular people, and not-so-regular people, too. ''Moving to the Sunday night timeslot held for many years by television's most famous variety show - The Ed Sullivan Show - Mr. Harvey will carry on the tradition of presenting a fast-paced hour packed with well-known stars and fresh new talent. As Mr. Harvey explains it, the guest list this season will include, "Some people who have already made it to the 'Big Time,' some people who are on their way to the 'Big Time,' and some people who have no business whatsoever being anywhere near the 'Big Time.'" ''''In addition to the expanded one-hour format, a deejay will be on hand each week to play the audience in and out of commercial breaks, and a new segment called "Some Folks You Won't Be Seeing on 'Big Time'" will feature audition tapes that didn't make the cut - for obvious reasons. ''''Season two will also feature weekly appearances by various standup comedians. Some will be established comedy stars, and some will be fresh faces getting their big break on Big Time. Many of Mr. Harvey's celebrity friends from the worlds of music and comedy will also stop by each week to join the fun and interact with the Big Time guests and audience members. ''{thewb.com)''''The show now features celebrity judges and a $10,000 prize each episode!''The judges score on originality, actual skill and stupidity.''''Audience tickets are available at http://hollywoodtickets.com/ShowPages/SteveHarveysBigTime.asp''''WB Broadcast History''''September 2003 - December 2003 --- Thursdays 8/7c''January 2004 - August 2004 --- Thursday 8:30/7:30c''September 2004 - January 2005 --- Sundays 7/6c''January 2005 - ???????????????--- Sundays 9/8cmoreless
