I love this show, I just recently finished watching every single episode on lifetime and my local channel 9. Its so funny and never got a chance. Its not your traditional family sitcom b/c its not your normal family and that plays very well in comedy. I guess thats why its similar to married with children, I like both a lot. It should have gotten another chance on another network but lets hope for some dvd's. Also, does anyone see bill miller as a real life homer simpson, i'm a huge simpsosn fan and i always think that when i watch still standing.

Watching it on Lifetime, I don't know how people didn't think it was funny. No it wasn't cutting edge or anything, but it was funny. And shouldn't that be what a sitcom is? I've seen some of these "cutting edge" or "smart" sitcoms and they just aren't that funny.

Still Standing is a rock solid and always funny sitcom, frustrating how American networks cancel so many good shows Seems they have no respect for quality or their viewers, all they care about are their precious ratings and the almighty dollar.

I know I find it so stupid how people said they didn't like this..this was pure comedy, and that's what we need some good comedy..

This may be the biggest reason it was cancelled. Awhile back there was a movie made about TV execs that shedule the shows. I feel SS falls into this category.
The ratings for the shows were going nowhere. They'd schedule what they think should take out all the other networks. And it comes in dead last night after night.

Somehow a TV watching monkey gets into the movie, and picks all the winners.

That's how I feel about the majority of these TV schedulers. Particularly in the case of SS. Most comments I've read agree with mine. I never heard of SS till it went into reruns on FOX. They should have hired monkeys ages ago to do tv scheduling.

I came across this show years ago by accident, but I didn't know what it was and never saw it again until this year, I bought an unoffical complete series DVD-R set of this show form Ioffer.com, quality isn't the best, but since I don't have cable, i'm not complaining! This was a truly great show, FAR better then the overrated "Raymond"(how that show lasted for 8 years I will never know)
