    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    • TRIVIA (2)

      • Judy originally grounds Lauren for four weeks, which she says is two each for the bracelet and MP3 player. After it's been discovered that she didn't steal the MP3 player, but comes clean about the bracelet, Judy is so proud of her that she reduces the grounding to two weeks, but since that was her original punishment for stealing the bracelet anyway, she really didn't give Lauren a break at all.

      • When Linda is with Tina, off Linda's camera the fire truck is on one side of the table and the doll is on the other. However, when Linda is filming, the doll and the fire truck reverse sides.

    • QUOTES (4)

      • Judy: Bill, come and meet Lauren's new friends.
Bill: Oh. Is she still in the can, because my cream's in there and I'm starting to itch?

      • Judy: Aren't you a little dressed up for choir practice?
        Lauren: I quit choir.
        Judy: Since when?
Lauren: Since I found out choir's for losers.
Bill: Oh, honey, choir's always been for losers.

      • Judy: Don't you just hate Lauren's new friends?
Bill: Well, they're stuck-up, snotty, wearing trashy makeup—(excited) oh, my God, our daughter's hanging out with the popular girls!

      • Linda: Women are so programmed by society that Judy feels compelled to wear lipstick even when she's sitting in the dark.
Bill: You feel compelled to talk even when no one's listening.
