Still Standing

When Louise comes by after bringing Lauren home from the mall, they wait outside for the door to be opened after Louise announces herself. Later, Louise comes over herself, but just barges into the Millers' home.

When Trey is yelling outside the window of Dr. Holman's home, another person's reflection briefly appears to his right.

We see that Kyle still has at least one illegally obtained slot machine in his basement. We first saw a Double Diamond machine in "Still Irresponsible." We see a modern Wild Cherry machine in this episode.

Judy says that she and Bill came up with the plan of tricking Fitz and Marion out of their tickets the night that they all had dinner, but it started before that. During dinner, Judy says that they have tickets, and then Bill pretends to have not picked them up.

In this episode, Judy talks about how this is their last Christmas together because next year, Brian will be off at college. However, colleges generally have December breaks that allow students to go home for college.

Fitz intimates that his wife is not very lively in the bedroom, even though when they reconciled from a near divorce she revealed that she took a sex class and got an A.

In his rec room, Kyle Polsky is seen to have a modern Double Diamond slot machine, often used in conjunction with the MegaBucks progressive jackpot. However, private ownership of a slot machine less than 25 years old is prohibited in Illinois, and he would likely be unable to even get one shipped to him.

In "Still Fast," Shelly and Terry claimed not to own a TV, but now they're suddenly getting cable installed and claim to "like CNN."

The supposedly random Answer Man machine is obviously set-up to give the answers called for in the script, even switching position between shots when consecutive questions call for opposite answers.

Judy mentions they're at a Veteran's Hall, though the establishing shot clearly shows they're at an Elk Lodge.

Brian was facing the direction of the car, so it would be impossible for him to not have seen it get stolen.

Hearing the buzz of the dryer, Linda excitedly exclaims "my laundry's done," but when she goes to the laundry nook, the dryer door is empty and all the clothes are already sitting on top, leaving Jennifer Irwin to mime the actions of taking out clothes.

At the poker game, Bill announces that they're playing 5 card stud, which traditionally consists of 1 down card and 4 up cards in succession. But he deals 5 down cards, as if they were playing 5 card draw (without the drawing).

Brian's middle name is 'Hops'. Lauren's middle name is 'Barley'. Hops and barley are ingredients in beer, a beverage common in the Miller family.

About 18 minutes into the episode, Linda gets a second bottle of water from the refrigerator and places it on the table next to the first water bottle in front of her. For the next three minutes, the second bottle disappears and reappears several times.

In "Still Winning," Perry dropped his British accent and said it was "just a phase." However, in this episode, his British accent reappears with no explanation.

Though Willie Gault appears as himself, his portrayed family of wife Karen and daughter Melanie is fictional. In reality, he has a wife, Dainnese, and two children, Shakari and Gabriel.
