    • NOTES (3)

      • Sean and the TIV leave Vortex 2 in Nebraska because they believe that they have a better shot at seeing a tornado in Wyoming, and later Vortex 2 heads to Wyoming, as well. There were two tornadoes that same afternoon in Nebraska, a pair of EF0s, but both tornadoes were associated with the same cell that put down the EF2 near La Grange, Wyoming, not the more northerly storm that Vortex 2 had originally targeted.

      • Chronologically speaking, this episode occurs before the previous two episodes "Not In Kansas Anymore" and ""Fight Or Flight". This episode takes place on June 4, 2009, whereas the others featured tornadoes chased on June 7, 10, and 14, 2009.

      • The EF2 which both TIV and the Dominator intercepted touched down west of La Grange, Wyoming on June 5, 2009. It remained on the ground for about eight miles before it pulled up.

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • The title is an allusion to the 1888 poem "Casey At The Bat", which became a popular vaudeville performance piece, as well as being the subject of a silent movie in 1927 and a pair of animated films by Disney.
