  • As always an exciting and amusing installment!

Another interesting story line. Finn and Junko particularly made me laugh! But that isn't anything new coz Finn is hilarious all the time! I especially love his girly scream! It makes me laugh when they go into battle and he is always the one to fall of his skimmer or get it blown up then someone has to catch him and they always catch him on the front of their skimmer! He is a brilliant character, they all are!

This series is fun and easy to watch and all the characters are very interesting and most of the are funny to watch *ahem* Finn! *ahem* Hope the do a second series!!moreless
  • A girl named Dove is kidnapped by the Dark Ace himself, and her grandfather enlists the help of the Storm Hawks. The Storm Hawks are now on a mission to rescue Dove from imprisonment as well as some other members of a rebel force against the Cyclonians.moreless

This episode is okay, with some stealthy action and funny parts, but it is not the best. What was so bad about the 'prison'/'factory'? I did not feel any emotional attachment towards Dove, the Resistance or her grandfather.

The Resistance members barely had any lines and we do not get to see what changes they have done. The rescue mission was not really a rescue mission, since Dove seems to take of herself and doesn't seem trapped in the first place. Dove has some personality, but she seems like a one-time character, who will not show up again.moreless
  • This episode was well-written and was very well done.

    Story: 9 out of 10

The story was very good and included a lot of excitment and comedical scenes. I was impressed how it was written.

    Music: 9 out of 10

The episode's music had some spy-type theme music in it, which made me think of James Bond.

There were several problems, such as the describing of the plan to rescue Dove.

The episode is one of those you need to watch in order to get a good laugh. The kitchen sink hitting the bad guys was very funny. I found the scenes of the mattress and toilet almost humorous as well.

    I give the episode a 9.3 out of 10.moreless
  • Storm Hawks is running smoothly!

The Storm Hawks plan a deadly mission in order to save a girl and the Sky Knights of her Terra, Gale. However, with the Talons tailing them, the Storm Hawks got more than they bargained for. The episode had its funny parts, like in the pilot, and the usual entertaining fight scene. The only flaw was it was a little confusing during the last fight. There seemed to be a mix-up in the number of Talons that were fighting the Storm Hawks, or maybe it was just me. All in all, the episode was excellent, and I look forward to next week's episode.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (3)

  • QUOTES (11)

    • Finn and Junko: We're gonna die!
Dove: Are they always this dramatic?
      Piper: You have no idea.

    • Finn: Yep, there it is. That's the "We're going on a dangerous mission" look.
Aerrow: We'll get her back, Wren.
Finn: (Looks at the photo of Dove) I'm in!

    • Wren: Good work, soldiers! I, I don't know how to repay you...
      Finn: Gold works for me.
Aerrow: Seeing Dove safe and Gale liberated is reward enough.
Wren: Oh, what a nice young ma...
Dove: I think we can find something to give them, Granpapa. Don't be cheap!

    • Finn: You're not seriously gonna run Widow's Canyon?
      Aerrow: Oh yeah!
      Finn: Have fun, Radarr!

    • Dark Ace: With a little more training, you'll make an excellent Talon.
      Aerrow: I'd rather eat dirt.
Dark Ace: That can be arranged.

    • Aerrow: Most people would say this mission is dangerous, reckless and pretty much impossible.
Piper: In other words, just our style.

    • Aerrow: We're the good guys, The Storm Hawks!
Finn: Come on, you've heard of us... we're famous!
Wren: Chicken Hawks? No, never heard of you.

    • Stork: I've got two bogeys at 10 o'clock!
Finn: ...S-O-P. A.S.A.P. Niner, niner! Engage, engage!
Junko: I have no idea what he just said.
      Stork: We're under attack!

    • (alarm goes off)
Stork: Incoming! Closing fast! Oh man, we're doomed!
      (toilet crashes through window)
Finn: Exactly what kind of doomed are we talking about here?

    • Piper: It's perfect! Absolutely, positively 100% the best plan ever!
Stork: Um... I'm not gonna like this, am I?
Piper: The storm building in the southwest should give us perfect cover to monitor the new Cyclonian supply lines.
Stork: I was right. I don't like it.

    • Aerrow: Where do you think he went?
Finn: Probably in the kitchen to get more ammo.

  • NOTES (4)

    • The scene when Aerrow is flying upside down above the Cyclonian pilot is similar to a scene from the Top Gun movie where Goose and Maverick fly upside down above a MIG pilot.

    • Throwing a sink at Dark Ace is an allusion to the phrase "Using everything but the kitchen sink". In this case, however, the sink went too.

    • The resistance of Terra Gale is an allusion to the French Resistance of WWII, as heard by Wren's French accent.
