Craig: You need to face the fact that you mother is an alcoholic. But that doesn't mean that she doesn't love you.
Jerri: No, I've heard her say plenty of times that she doesn't love me.
Craig: She was probably drunk.
Jerri: No, I'm pretty sure she was sober.
Jerri: You know, I cried when I had no shoes until I met a man who had no feet. Then I laughed really hard.
Jerri: It's better to be a happy gin soaked grape than an anguished raisin in the sun.
Closing Credits Dance Sequence: As the episode closes, Mr. Noblet gives a reading - and grooves to - Langston Hughes' poem "Harlem" (aka "Dream Deferred").
When Jellineck is selecting the cast for "A Raisin In The Sun" and he overlooks a multitude of African-American students for the likes of Susan Cream, Craig Snow, and Jerri Blank, then he tells everyone else that they'll be playing "trees".
