Today's a special day for Honey Pie: She's taking a little trip to a place called Marshmallow Marsh, so the other core protagonists throw a going-away party. Sheesh, pig out on the various treats offered, why doesn't she. But hey, the horse promises to bring the humans back some gifts: Strawberry Shortcake; standard marshmallows, Apple Dumplin'; miniature marshmallows, Ginger Snap; chocolate-covered marshmallows, Orange Blossom; orange marshmallows, Angel Cake; marshmallow cream, and Huckleberry Pie; toasted marshmallows. According to Honey's description of her trip alongside the kids' suspense, the path to Marshmallow Marsh must be quite a load. The "Have A Good Trip" sequence is crazy! Everybody just can't wait to get rid of Honey Pie.
However, a broken leg due to careless leaping over a fence that I don't recall being there before shatters all previous notions. So now Honey Pie must entertain confinement over the trip for "a few days". Is she confusing pillow feelings? The soft one looks hard to me and vice versa. Poor Custard. In fact, putting up with Honey's bossiness makes all except Strawberry ready to throw in the towel. Ooh, Huck has an idea! Maybe he can go get a magician putting on a show near the boy's home district? Anything's worth a try. In the meantime, the human girls do what THEY can, starting with a second song. Ah, but it'll take just a bit more before Honey's convinced.
How's Huckleberry Pie doing? Nothing much other than a delay that sends him reeling into the River Fudge. Why isn't that kid wearing protective gear? It's already been three episodes. Nevertheless, Honey's storytelling habits spread amongst the ranks, and viewers are treated to character histories. According to Strawberry Shortcake, Strawberryland once experienced awful droughts until she convinced a cloud about joyful tears. That cloud is a LOL riot. Also, it seems Custard and Honey Pie aren't the only beasts around that speak human languages. How'd that bird know how to address Strawberry by name? Eh, maybe she picked it up sometime prior. Next, Ginger Snap brings up a time when she ran out of chocolate chips and so visited a place named Chocolate Town. She was promised some chocolate-covered marshmallows; her story advances on a craving for the stuff. Chocolate coins to turn into chips...or is it chunks? Either way. Next comes Angel Cake, discussing the making of her first birthday cake. She's out of sugar crystals to color her frosting, and blending just anything won't do, hence a trip to Sponge Cake Forest. (We see so many different locations, and the characters mention even more.) The crops are just as squishy as that offered for Apple's first birthday, but look at the colors they offer. Don't eat off the ground, Angel! Yecch!
Orange Blossom's turn! She apparently had a dream about a juice tree that she narrates in a puppet show. Awww, what a puppet. And did Huck do good? Nope, the magician's gone to Upper Hat Rack. Hey, didn't that gingerbread person appear during "The Cookie Song"? No matter. Strawberry and company have been extra busy if those paper chains strung above are anything to go by. Honey Pie recycles her line concerning sunflower seeds from the last episode. Strawberry senses outside activity, so she investigates. What's Huck doing behind that bush? Poor boy's feeling down because of supposed failure until Strawberry brings him up. One failed magic trick brings him down again, but he should try again. Anyone have a hat? Orange does, though I couldn't say how it just appeared next to her. Nevertheless, Honey has such a good time she must stand up and does. Wow! Broken and healed in one day!
The following day sees Honey decked up again (though I don't see why since nobody's riding her). But a twist in the form of a cold sees her confined again, though she takes it with dignity. Oranges as ornaments? There's an idea.moreless

Unfortunate Honey Pie Pony has damaged her leg and must remain in bed until it heals. And as a result, she can't go on a planned outing with her allies in Strawberry Land. Strawberry Shortcake, Ginger Snap, Orange Blossom, Angel Cake, and Huckleberry Pie decide to care for their unhappy friend. And it won't be easy, seeing as Honey Pie's in such a terrible mood, but they are determined to put up with her demands and turn the day around for her.moreless
