The Legend of Hadou Ken
AIRED:
While studying under the discipline of Dhalsim, Ken and Ryu are shown the "Ki" that he gathers in his hands. Ryu feels a power within himself and begins to form his own "Ki." Dhalsim is surprised at how quickly Ryu learns and tells him the legend of "Hadouken," a tale of a great master who was able to control this mystical power. Ken and Ryu have a lot to learn. From the teeming back streets of Hong Kong to the banks of the Ganges River and the arenas of Barcelona, these two friends are out to unlock the secrets of the Worlds' best fighters in order to complete a martial arts education begun together years before. But their enterprising expedition to the far corners of the Earth exposes them to far more than new combat techniques. Before long their considerable skills attract the attention of some dangerous characters - fearsome villains eager to harness the friends' newfound talents in service to the criminal organization known as "Shadowlaw." Aided by the beautiful and fearsome Chun Li, Ken and Ryu struggle to resist the formidable might of Sagat, the brawn of the towering Zangief, and the talons of the devious Vega as they inch ever closer to the mysterious mastermind behind Shadowlaw. Watch as the ultimate contest of body and mind is decided in the streets in this fan-favorite series based upon the popular video game! Anime veteran Gisaburo Sugii (Street Fighter II: The Movie) reprises his role as director for this furious 29-episode action series available on either four DVD volumes or the special edition box set!moreless
